QUOTE(idoblu @ May 30 2010, 11:52 AM) TV only 6k TV cabinet 2.5k Speaking of cabinet, i gave up of finding the good one. I need the one with sturdy built and good ventilation for the equipment but wife insist on hiding all the cables, it's really hard to find a good one.

This might be too early to ask, but does anyway know how to access V20 service menu ?
holding down V- on the TV and pressing 0 (zero) three times on the remote does not work.
need to check the hours

QUOTE(anfieldude @ May 31 2010, 09:05 PM) Shd be the same. Hold down the V- on the display and press the "Recall" button 3 times. Its not the "0" button. Also, be careful with going into the service menu. Don't change anything else, and don't make any mistakes. Thanks ! it works. 49hrs already .. 151 more to go

QUOTE(sunnyK @ Jun 1 2010, 03:19 PM) .... don't switch on your TV for long hrs and your TV will still be fine. I think there is a few school of thoughts on this one, some even play those EA Break-in DVD and left it on all night long.

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Jun 2 2010, 12:27 PM) ....The key giveaway of this is if u take a look at the global panasonic viera site, the V series in Asia will not have the Infinite Black Pro panel. Thus the black levels will not be equal to the 8G Kuros (but pretty close) but will be the best Panny set behind the VT...... Av Forum Panasonic 50V20 ReviewI'm not sure about other features, because i have yet to compare the specs on AV Forums review and the one on Asia site. But are you sure about the Infinite Black thinggy ? because here on Panasonic Asia sites it stated about that infinite black thing and also on my box if i remember... Yeah the different is only the THX mode, PRO mode for isfccc calibration is there on V20 series confirmed... so with this kind of price, we're not so much screwed as most had believed... Added on June 2, 2010, 3:58 pmQUOTE(sunnyK @ Jun 2 2010, 05:53 PM) check both continents specs . why asia specs lighter by 1 kg for 50'' . like that also can arr minus THX logo !! QUOTE(PoorMan @ Jun 15 2010, 03:44 AM) It's may be hard to compare since our V20 is different from the Europe version. Anyway, IMHO, if you are happy with your set now, maybe you can hold off the updating until you are sure what's in the software update. Did they give more details on the update? Like what are they fixing/adding? Yeah, i'm holding my update. Could not find any details for these update as well..

I think its good to complain, but it would not make any difference in this case. Its not loud enough for panny to notice. Unless a mass complain like those complain regarding Unifi bandwidth cap, tweet and retweet from hundreds individual and net savvy user was enough for TM to retract and hold their policies.
Even if some of panny people reading this thread, it's like 'masuk telinga kanan keluar telinga kiri'.

Kindly share with us.
Thank you. Added on June 25, 2010, 4:22 pm Hello, please test it thoroughly on the "Floating Black" problem and feedback to Panasonic M'sia ASAP. Many thanks. If you really want to see this floating black on P42V20... grab the Dark Knight bluray.. turn off all the lights..start the movie, watch carefully after DC Comics logo before the bat coming out of the smoke.. the exact timecode is about 00:00:43 - 00:00:44.. careful you might not like what you see..

QUOTE(PoorMan @ Jun 27 2010, 04:02 PM) How do you know if that wasn't the intended effect in the original source? Like a moment of lightning flash? Sorry for the question as I have not seen "The Dark Knight" in another HDTV for comparison. Because i do not think that visual effect would apply to the black bar as well. All the effects do not usually go out of the 'Safe Area'. This greyish is repeatable and doesn't show on my old sony lcd (s series).. I've read somewhere in forum (av forum or avs) that you see it on other movies, should make a list of these movies and its timecode. Then again.. if you could not see it and don't go look for it... it would not be a problem and should be happy with these set. It's just for the curious mind who want to see what they mean by floating black... This post has been edited by ameenskywalker: Jun 27 2010, 02:31 PM

QUOTE(PoorMan @ Jul 6 2010, 10:05 PM) Speaking of motion, anyone seeing fifa world cup in HD on the V20? Notice if you turned IFC on, the ball goes all weird-shaped when kicked high, travelling over the crowd of people in the background? Anybody noticed that? Will try to look for that. Actually my wife noticed something, before the match start, and the player were lining up during national anthem etc.. the camera will close up to each player face and start panning quite fast.. she noticed there's like a uneven gradient/paint like color on each player face skin tone... it only happen during close up...

QUOTE(tim_1335 @ Sep 24 2010, 10:58 AM) anyone knows how to determine if 24p playback is running at 96hz? a bit confused by this 3:2, 2:3 , 4:4 pulldown thing...sigh do all panny 2010 full hd models have this? Yeah, i also want to know how. Every time i played 24p material, the TV showed 1080p/24hz. Is this optimal ?
