Speaking of cabinet, i gave up of finding the good one. I need the one with sturdy built and good ventilation for the equipment but wife insist on hiding all the cables, it's really hard to find a good one.

I think there is a few school of thoughts on this one, some even play those EA Break-in DVD and left it on all night long.

I'm not sure about other features, because i have yet to compare the specs on AV Forums review and the one on Asia site. But are you sure about the Infinite Black thinggy ? because here on Panasonic Asia sites it stated about that infinite black thing and also on my box if i remember...

Yeah the different is only the THX mode, PRO mode for isfccc calibration is there on V20 series confirmed... so with this kind of price, we're not so much screwed as most had believed...

Apparently it was not only for Viera Cast, it update the firmware from 5.204 to 5.500

I think its good to complain, but it would not make any difference in this case. Its not loud enough for panny to notice. Unless a mass complain like those complain regarding Unifi bandwidth cap, tweet and retweet from hundreds individual and net savvy user was enough for TM to retract and hold their policies.

Even if some of panny people reading this thread, it's like 'masuk telinga kanan keluar telinga kiri'.

If you really want to see this floating black on P42V20... grab the Dark Knight bluray.. turn off all the lights..start the movie, watch carefully after DC Comics logo before the bat coming out of the smoke.. the exact timecode is about 00:00:43 - 00:00:44.. careful you might not like what you see..

You should see the black will become greryish for a second and turn back black... it is very obvious if you looked at the black bar below...

Because i do not think that visual effect would apply to the black bar as well. All the effects do not usually go out of the 'Safe Area'. This greyish is repeatable and doesn't show on my old sony lcd (s series).. I've read somewhere in forum (av forum or avs) that you see it on other movies, should make a list of these movies and its timecode.

Then again.. if you could not see it and don't go look for it... it would not be a problem and should be happy with these set. It's just for the curious mind who want to see what they mean by floating black...

Will try to look for that. Actually my wife noticed something, before the match start, and the player were lining up during national anthem etc.. the camera will close up to each player face and start panning quite fast.. she noticed there's like a uneven gradient/paint like color on each player face skin tone... it only happen during close up...

Nice, lotsa new Apps.. Skype and Twitter is new right ? Skype for video chat would be awesome. Any idea how much panasonic is selling those cam ? or any usb cam can also use ?

I used to have the same problem (around 210hrs), i thought it was burn-in but luckily it was just retention. Washed it out overnight with EA break in DVD, it it all went away. Now it rarely happen except after long period of gaming and black bar. But it also go away after i finished watching movies, and less and less visble nowdays. I'm not sure if its visible or not during daytime cause my room is very dark even during daytime.

since already bought, and i assume it can't be refund, no need to compare-compare. Later feel unsettled and no peace of mind. just enjoyed it and try not sit too close (later you see IR then get yourself worried, i know i did)

Yeah, i also want to know how. Every time i played 24p material, the TV showed 1080p/24hz. Is this optimal ?
