Hey Anfieldude,
Greetings bro, (gotta say hello, no rivalry here I've been following the discussion on the motion blur, judder and artefact encounter by allycat's V series. I own a X28 series and I've got B.yond, PS3 and DVD (normal type not upscale 1080 player) and I don't seem to notice such issues like motion blur. During the recent World Cup, everythings was detail and there were no trails or blurness caused by movement. Even when I play PS3, racing games, they look pretty good and decent. Anyway, my Panny has broken the 200hours. My current setting is Cinema mode with Eco at off position. When its new, I did a google on calibration and came back with this: http://ezinearticles.com/?Plasma-Calibrati...-Dime&id=493213 I followed. In your opinion, such calibration work? or you need proper tools to do that? What about these disc to perform calibration available in Amazon.com? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_1...sc=11&x=14&y=20 Appreciate your thoughts. Cheers Read my thread for the basics of calibration. In there I mention some free BD calibration discs. U can do the basic. The advanced stuff u would need a meter. Display Calibration |

QUOTE(allycat @ Jul 28 2010, 11:52 AM) I emailed Panasonic and their engineer is coming to check my V20 this Sat. I read from AV forums that the problem you mentioned is reduced noticeably if you view with Cinema/Normal mode.I think that those of you who are having motion blur, judder, artefact problems should email Panasonic. In this way, we can get better response and solution from them. If most of just keep quiet and just complain in the forum, I doubt Panasoic will take us seriously. My set is always on Cinema mode. What mode were you on when you encountered the juddering problem? It seems that the problem is with 50Hz sources as pointed out by anfieldude but there are a lot debate that's going on. Anfieldude, 750+ hours on my set and my eyes are accustomed to my current settings. Now wanna go for calibration and to see the difference before it crosses the 1000hrs mark. When you are in KL for other jobs, please do include me in your schedule. |

My set is set at Cinema mode. If you watch History and NG HD, you'll notce these problems as there are a lot of panning scenes across terrain esp grassy fields. If you watch dramas like NCIS LA, CSI or others, you will notice the blurring when the actors move esp when they move and turn towards you. I don't know if it is possible to switch to 100Hz in the system maintenance menu, but I dare not try it as it may void the warranty. Any brave souls want to try it? Allycat |

Sifus, I set ONLY S Curve for the Gamma setting & the rest Default - OK for 50" V20K in both 1080i/50Hz & Astro Byond and PS3 1080p 24p/60Hz - which I set it in Professional 1 Viewing Mode ?

IMHO, you'll need a meter to probably tweak the professional settings properly. Some of the effects cannot be seen by the naked eye alone but together, the overall PQ could be significantly affected. |

Hi
Received my 50V20K last week finally. Got a question. Anyone encounter any problems getting subtitles to play from portable HD connected to the tv's USB port? Movie played fine except I couldnt make the subs appear. All my subs are either .srt or .txt which according to the manual should work ok. Any advice? aBe |
