I'm on Redoxon Vita Guard for the past 2 years... and i have improved tremendously in term of avoiding morning
drippy nose.

Just curious... i read somewhere, people suggest to take just half of the effervescent tablet per day? Or issit best
to take every 2 days? TQvm

I'm a nutritionist in a supplements store (You may PM me if you wanna ask for info about any herbs & supplements). So I take quite a bunch of supplements. Hah hah!

Not everything is from the place I work for (I don't care about brand loyalty whistling.gif ).
And I don't take everything everyday (crazy meh, eat all those everyday)---I still eat food.

-men's multivit
-vit C
-zinc
-pine bark extract (Fuh, expensive but unbelievably effective antioxidant. I sincerely hope everyone---especially those with allergy, sinus problems, hypertension, high cholesterol, migraine, water retention, eye issues, stressful work, want to reduce dark spot/老人斑, want fairer skin---owe it to themselves to at least give this a try, because I have witnessed the improvements. nod.gif)
-milk thistle
-fish oil
-liquid flax seed oil
-red palm oil
-olive oil
-multi enzymes
-20 billion probiotics
-ginkgo
-garlic
-propolis (surprisingly effective against sorethroat)
-collagen
-whey protein

Most people would do well taking just these 4:
-omega 3 fatty acids (fish oil, flax seed oil, olive oil), and
-a good antioxidant (pine bark extract is the best I have found so far).
-multivit (add vit C if you want, most multi-vitamins have very low vit C). And for those who are paranoid: there are multivits from natural sources. laugh.gif
-lots of good protein source: eggs, milk, fish, chicken, whey.

Then one may add any other supplement for whatever function he/she needs: ginkgo for memory, ginseng for vitality and tonic, bilberry & goji for eyes, fenugreek for lactation, milk thistle for liver, feverfew for heatiness and migraine, garlic for most infections, propolis for sorethroat (crazily effective for sorethroat).

@iamyuanwu, now you've got me interested with this pine bark extract. where and how much did you get it for?

Saw this thread, and thought I would share part of an email I sent a friend.  He wanted me to give him a list of the absolute best supplements available for his fat loss and muscle gaining.

Here's what I wrote him.

Amway's Nutrilite is the ONLY company that dares to claim their process is organic from the seed to the growth of plant until the processing.
Other companies only DARE to claim their process is organic but what kind of source they get their plant?
Subcontractor?

Do some homework.

Firstly, sourcing from independent materials supplier doesn't mean its not a valid claim on being organic on the part of supplements company. I may not have my own organic farms, but I have a solid manufacturing process and source my materials from some of the best organic farms in the world. That doesn't mean my product is inferior compared to another company who owns their own farms.

And secondly, what's the big hoo-ha about that claim? They claim that their plants are planted in organic farms, but I can't seem to find a clear and definite statement that their product is organic. This can mean various things, and my speculations are: i. they add some stabilizers or other ingredients to the products that cannot be certified organic. ii. they add synthetic sources of vitamins in addition to organic natural plant derived sources.

Do your homework before becoming a fanboy.

I had always wanted to try Pine Bark Extract but it was too expensive coming from GNC (crazy expensive). I also found this product in the Cosway Catalogue. A lot cheaper but not sure ...might give it a try.

http://www.cosway.com.my/product/health/nn...0pycnogenol.htm

I'm not promoting this nor am I an agent of Cosway. Just want to share this with forummers who are interested in powerful antioxidants.

Need your 2c on this, iamyuanwu.

Thx

For Cosway.... sighs, what can I say. They have good products that are sourced from really good materials suppliers, but then they overprice it. Same goes to many other brands here.

For that same supplement, I'm sure you can find a reliable US brand that uses the same ingredients, buy it online, have it shipped here, and you save at least a quarter on the retail price from Cosway. Unless you get them from Cosway during some promotion, then that's a different story.

Just take this as an example. http://www.iherb.com/Source-Naturals-Pine-...lets/19129?at=0

Haven't done my research as I'm not planning to take Pine Bark Extract.

But seems as though Cosway uses Pycnogenol, a proprietary brand.

So you can search for reliable supplement brands from the US who sells pine bark extract which uses Pycnogenol.

Also check dosage recommendations from more prominent and reliable sources,
so you won't be taking unnecessarily high dosage, which would be a waste of $$$.

So those would be your search criteria. Be a smart consumer wink.gif

I think if we want to buy health supplements from US, not sure if it gets stopped by Kastams or Health Dept.

Small quantity is fine.

I'm pretty sure just 1 bottle for 1 month consumption will be okay.

More than that, it's by luck.

Still cheaper than buying from Malaysia.

If not exactly cheaper, at least can get better quality item for the same price.

You are lucky. The next time you're buying supplements again, please order some for me, but you bear the risk lol.
