Samsung i can get 2500 while toshiba 2700, diffrent is only 2 inch, both are FullHD

okay..i had the same problem yesterday...and i got the toshiba...the samsung was sold at 2350 (legend jalan klang lama). but i went for the toshiba as it was the max size i could go in my living room (no need for upgrade).

btw..it can be quite difficult to get the toshiba in the market now as many places no stock...

Toshiba have good reviews from others forumers before

if you don't mind me asking, how much did you got your toshiba for?

my heart is for samsung 1st b4, but now when toshiba 42 inch fullhd with price below 3k, i think toshiba give better, but at the same time samsung b530 is the best lcd so far

Why do you say B530 is the best? In fact it is actually the lowest spec fullhd from Samsung

Samsung has series 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 for LCD; 3 and 4 are non-fullhd; 5 to 9 are fullhd

Which means, Series-5 is the most "basic" fullhd LCD from Samsung, similar to Toshiba CV series (same price range as well)

Normally, entry-level LCD like these have the lowest spec among other series and not much features and image enhancement etc. There will be fewer HDMI ports and other input choices, no USB port for photo/video playback, and lack of picture tuning/calibration settings etc.

Next up from Samsung is Series-6 which I think is more in-line with Toshiba ZV series. Since RV is in between ZV and CV, it fills a gap left by Samsung between Series-5 and Series-6 (something like 5.5)

The closest model from Samsung comparable to Toshiba 42RV600E is Samsung LA40B550 (has USB port for media playback), but RV still wins by size (42" vs 40") and slightly lower price

Another contender here is LG 42LH35 (has USB port for media playback too) if you like Korean brand and prefer 42" instead of 40"
