Hi, I need some advice here... Yesterday I decided to get a Lenovo Y460 and asked my brother to drop by Low Yat today to help me buy.. but then all the shops are like not able to have any discount further from 3599 and mostly rm20-30 less, and they keep recommending me for the Acer 4820TG instead and A42Jk which is cheaper even after ram upgrade, but I thought the latest price for Y460 is rm3499 as of the first page? And I just come across a much better alternative which is A42JV, is the difference just the graphic card n processor between A42JV n Y460? Is A42JV free-dos?

Thx for feedbacks! I will go for A42JV with 2gb ram upgrade then! My bro told me it seems that they don't wanna sell the Lenovo somehow cause it's low on stock lol...

QUOTE(miahahaha @ Jun 25 2010, 07:05 PM) Well, shouldn't have hiked up this soon ..but from RM2999 + 1 =RM3k + RM150 (upgrade 2GB RAM = 4GB) = RM3150 is still reasonable yea so it's like rm30 discount for 2gb ram and no discount for laptop lol.. Cause I've seen forumers posting that they were able to get it for 2930 like that... Heh hopefully I won't regret my purchasee

5650 would be around 5% better in terms of benchmark but 335m has Cuda.. So probably around the same performance... A42jv is only around 2.5k or less now.. Rm2599 is old price la..

QUOTE(faezfahmi618 @ Jan 14 2011, 12:18 PM) what's so special about 5750g compare to xps15 besides sandy bridge? r they just change their keyboard i mean that spongy keyboard? processor itself is 20-25% faster compared to i7-720QM for a much cheaper price.. u gotta read some reviews for sandy bridge, it's very impressive... 540M is better than 435M also... Though it's the same thing slightly overclocked...

QUOTE(dagnarus @ Jan 18 2011, 01:26 PM) i guess as of now, all recommendation for laptops should wait for the full release of sandy bridge proc variety to the market. damn those things are great... U gotta wait till March then.. Cause other SB such as dual core SB and higher end quad cores only coming out by then.. Now only got entry level quad..

QUOTE(next2fate @ Jan 26 2011, 01:04 AM) Hey guys, I want to buy a 14''inch laptop for my girlfriend budget < RM2k not for gaming... main lo for surfing net and doing documents...maybe something with good multitasking with a decent speed? Get Lenovo Z460 for around RM2k - RM2.1k... It's totally worthed with the i5-460m processor... Else any laptops with i3 processors would do the job also under 2k... EDIT: Found this toshiba laptop.. http://www.ncs.com.my/index.php?productID=2051looks like a good deal and specs is better also, not sure whether it's available already or not...
