thanks you guys... will check out the lenovo Y460... biggrin.gif ..and btw is there any huge differences frm 6cells & 9 cells battery?
*
well 9 cells can last a bit longer.. but it is weigh more than 6 cells

well.. if u are person that always using laptops without chargers/charging it .. then 9 cells is better..

but if u are person that always using laptops at home/office .. 6 cells is okay.. [just unplug battery and using power instead of batteries] ..

9 cells is heavier.. but can last longer

of course Dell inspiron 14R is better..
using same processor.. but dell inspiron 14R has higher RAM and better graphic

in term of reliability.. both are reliable..
in term of warranty.. asus win . 2yrs international warranty..dell 1 year on site warranty[can be upgraded] ..

well.. dell has better A.S.S[after sales service].

i suggest go for Dell Inspiron 14R instead

i see many people buy A42jk/jr most... may i know y???
*
a42jr .. because it is asus.. they trust asus more than dell.. maybe they want 2yrs international warranty..[perhaps study/working oversea]

a42jr is par with dell inspiron 14r.. but a42jk is lose to a42jr and dell inspiron 14r

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Jun 7 2010, 04:11 PM)

From architecture POV, P6000 is a bit better than Athlon II P320, as we know that Nehalem is better in terms of tech base

Added on June 10, 2010, 1:38 pmAbout the speed, can't really tell because never tested one tongue.gif
*
yeah... but Athlon II P320 has higher clock speed...

TQ, but can you provide me the latest price and the spec for those model you recommended?

I recently playing online game like TLBB and watching online movie (ppstream - hope it won't lag). May I know what is the latest games commanding on the high graphics requirement? Actually i prefer for the 1gb graphic card so that it won't outdate so soon.

What is your opinion on the graphic card? as i know intel hd graphics is not so good rite.
*
yes.. they can play TLBB ..

well.. if the connection goes well.. of course no lag on online movie.. mostly.. the lagging because of connection.. not the laptop itself...

nah.. dont compare 1GB graphic.... it doesnt mean having 256MB VRAM graphic is outdated LOL... ,, .. well.. IMO.. the VRAM isnt so important[i didnt say not important at all]...
the important is the performance and speed of graphic cards itself...

all of laptop that i suggested is within your budget... except Lenovo G455 which is RM 1700 only

the latest game that need high graphic..?? Crysis 2 [old though], Battlefield BC2 , Metro 2033

with your budget[and laptop that suits your budget].. you cant play them at high setting.. maybe in ultra low setting..

if you comparing graphics. IMO .. BenQ S42 is still the best.. but it is really limited.. maybe not available now..

well G455 and G460 is another option

glad to had visit this thread today. Was going to purchase the acer 4820 few weeks ago which is like RM3k and now drop till RM2.7k. Then now with the new Asus A42Jv at RM3k, which is very tempting. Just bought the Asus A42Jv hours ago.    rclxm9.gif

well, the design everything is the same as the asus A42 series laptop. Guess its just the specification is different.

battery wise... cant comment yet... still charging (started charging at 11++ pm)... do i have to charge >8 hours for the first time? forgot to ask the sales person...

keyboard and the touchpad is quite fine... while the built quality also seems to be fine imho. cant explore further as need to go and rush on my work already... anyway, refer attachment for the windows index experience score (wont be running CPU-Z etc... as i'm not free to do so at the moment and have no idea how it works =P)
