HAlo beri body..NEwbie nak tanye ni..aku bru je beli Lcd Sony EX500,try ngan PS3 aku(thru hdmi)..mmg cantek kaw2 pic/audio! tapi time aku nak conect ngan avr aku(denon 1909)..tak kuar audio lah...aku dah ikut buku kate..1 cable(hdmi)output monitor>lcd,1 lagi HDP out put>ps3..proble nya skang..pic /audio out le..leh ssape sifu/taiko leh tunjuk ajar ckit ngan budak kebaruan ni..heheh tengkyuu..

Bro.. kureng paham la ur explaination. Cara yang betulnya, HDMI kena sambung dari PS3 masuk AVR pastu dari AVR output masuk ke TV.

check lu punya PS3 setting...audio setting...HDMI...Automatic...
satu lagi check dlm video setting...digital audio output...bitstream..

My simple setting while i had PS3 with Toshiba Regza FULL HD LCD as following:

PS3, video output HDMI [Monster cable] plugged to LCD.
PS3 , Optical audio to Pioneer HTIB DVD cum AVR , output to 5.1 Surround Speakers.

When i play blu-ray , i just turn on the DVD cum AVR , there you go, crystal clear optical sound.

Simple and sweet. But now, not having any of this . More to HTPC

Bro..want to ask some Q.. Is't PCM/LPCM indicator appear at your AVR scren.. If it is no PCM/LPCM indicator I think maybe something wrong with setting at your ps3. You only can bitstream your loseless audio format to your AVR if your AVR capable to decode it to DTSMA/DolbyTru-HD.. If your AVR just only support DTS/DD so let your ps3 decode lossless audio format to PCM/LPCM

make sure your PS3 slim one if fat tak dapek nak nolong...

dah set p bitstream..dpt tgk on screen AVR..'DTS SURROUND'..WOW,sound da tul2 supperb lah..hehe,mine is PS3 Gumuk!..

Kalau PS gemuk, set your audio output on the PS3 to PCM. Decoding done by the PS3.Your avr will show multichannel or LPCM. This will stream lossles audio like Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio. Rest asured you will get the full lossless audio from your BD on your system.

If you use bitstream, the PS3 phat is not be able to stream lossless audio, so the avr will show only Dolby Digital or DTS logo. You will not get the full audio stream info from your BD.
