I have been downloading tutorial videos from Youtube for years with the help of keepvid.com

It doesn't work any more. Does anyone have an alternative?

internet download manager is good, but not free. there's also flashget and free download manager

Oh my... I find a lot of people asking either how to download from YouTube and/or issues downloading them. But TS' case is different as the on-line service is no longer working. Fret not...

One magic app that will solve ALL "How to download from YouTube" problems:

The Best... so easy to use. All you have to do is copy paste the shortcut of the YouTube vid, then automatically you can chose what quality you want to download at. E.g, if the video is available in 720p, select the MP4 720p setting. That's it. Best of all, it is blazing fast... (if set to High Priority in the option of the program).

I have downloaded a lot of videos (Nvidia YouTube page, music videos) all in their HD glory from YouTube.

geroro: I can't get FDM to work. IDM5.18 works, but its usually quite slow (20-30) since CNY.

defaultname365: FYTD is nice, simple, but... god awfully slow.

Youtube have a update,that method might need to be update for it to work.

well i don' think so! anyway so far i havent seen videos that contain virus..

alternative from keepvid.com for me is savevid.com

guys.... if u guys have mozilla firefox... the version 3.5 above... just go to addons... just search for "ant" which u will get ant video downloader... install it... after that restart firefox... and u will notice in ur firefox... bottom right... there will be a download button disabled... how to enable it??? just go to the particular video page that u want... and then it will be enabled... so click on it and download... enjoooy!!!!

Just use Internet Download Manager

I've given up on keepvid long time ago. Now I use orbit downloader.

keepvid allows us to download in 3GP format, which is freaking low filesize! awesome.. not sure others like orbit and definitely not youddl..

Try using Real Downloader. Works perfectly.

i am using it too, mine is the firefox add-on called DownloadHelper, really using it now & it provides options for you to download in 720p, flv and etc..
previously i've used voobys and keepvid, but then the all those problem came and i start to avoid them..

Installed application is always better than online use application

It's either you use download managers to help you or javascript. I used both, and I prefer JDownloader.
