On board, my first virgin buy of REIT, SUNREIT @ 1.07 @ Wish me luck fellow REITERS. Reason I choose SUNREIT, because I love Sunway Pyramid! So they will indirectly get my support too rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

okie. The price I'm on board was 1.07. I realized SUNREIT is among the REIT that is most actively traded. i dono is this good or bad. But usually we should not see so big movement from REIT. Sunreit can swing 3 cents in a day compare to it's peer which move 0.5 cents to 1 cent.

Anyway, this is the table for the list of REIT in Malaysia with the dividend yield. Judging from it, SUNREIT is the lowest yielding among it's peer. But the question I have now is that, how do they calculate the yiled? Sorry if I asked too much, because I'm practically new in REIT investment. Thank you in advance for those people who can enlighten me.

U must be holding 10000 shares.
10000 * 1.935 cents = RM 193.50

RM 193.50- RM 5.50 (bank and bursa charges) = RM 188
my holding a little more, so still can get > 1.9 cents after minus the charges
*
If that's the case, isn't that the conventional current cheque system is still better? At least we won't have any extra charges.

Using direct account CDS (not nominee), has zero charges.

Thanks cherroy. okay, then i can proceed on with my E dividend registration before April 2012. I supposed the bro bluesfinger is using Nominee account, that's why he is being charged for the RM 5.50.

hey bro, mind to explain what are the differences btw CDS & Nominee account?  smile.gif

Direct account = Under your name directly, with NO what so ever bank/financial institution holding on any shares on your behalf. Can be used to apply IPO shares. Example direct name, Loo Chong Lim.

Nominee account = Indirectly under your name. Shares will be held by bank/financial institution ON YOUR BEHALF. CANNOT apply for IPO shares. Example description of the shareholders under nominee account is stated as Citibank Nominee A/C - Loo Chong Lim

Seems like the news of merger between SUNCITY and SUNWAY has a great impact on SUNREIT. Buyer are still chasing at 1.09

SUNREIT really so attractive?
Still got people buy in?
Don't understand.. Why don't come back down?
*
Exactly, I'm surprised people still chasing it at 1.12 rclxub.gif . But I'm not complaining as I'm onboard when it was at 1.07.

As what cherroy has highlighted, the news of the SuCity + Sunway should not have any effect on SUNREIT because SUNREIT earnings is based on it's owned properties rental income. Well, in market, it is always irrational, theory is not the same as practice, a quote my lecturer highlighted to me when I was still a student wink.gif
