QUOTE(teehk_tee @ Aug 2 2011, 10:09 AM) SGREITs trade at a higher premium than MREITs. if i recall around 3-5%. while here the yield is 6-8% One of reason also because of interest rate.Sg interest rate only below 1%. So a yield 3-5% seems attractive enough. People are willing to buy at 3-5%. But MY, FD rate already 3.x %, if reit yield also 3.x%, it makes reit very attractive, might as well park in FD, more secure, easier. |

You will see volume spike up, and lot of buyer and seller each day, then volume shrink back again. There is no point to let go in one go, as it can depress the price too significant, eventually affect their selling price only. This the the problem when we have not enough liquidity. But generally speaking, for retailers, a few hundred to a few thousand lot, it has no problem to let go in a day. |

Hi everyone, I am newbie who just start to learn to invest. However, due to stock exchange has higher risk. So, have to give up for this moment. Just read this reits investment. I see everyone seems like very happy receiving the dividends. May I know how frequently they distribute dividend? One more thing is all the reits price is quite high. Almost all of them is nearly Rm 1. 1k units require RM 1000. I just start to work no longer. Not much saving. Buying 5k units can earn from dividend? I expect I can learn much much more than FD.

Er.. some REITs distribute dividends once or twice a year. |

I always think to invest instead of putting money in bank to let them invest. Not a wise choice though. |

Thus, if say TWRREIT is supposedly paying 8%DY at current price, then U better calculate it as 8%*(100%-10%tax on dividend distributed) to get a closer net DY%. Cost of purchase is about 0.55% (one way), assuming U are buying at least $3K worth, when buying stocks (investing in REITs are investing in their common stocks). Do the maths |
