JinXXX,

You're talking about some common sense, but most newbies starting out has no common sense as illustrated by his question "my question is: how do I pick which REIT is right for me?". They want to be given a fish, not being taught how to fish. You get me?

Same case there for the guy waiting for the future wife to appear  laugh.gif

well guess common sense is very lacking these days.. everybody wants skim cepat kaya..

but nobody wants to "work" a little for it.. eg researching.. comparing.... reading forums.. seeing other ppl's opinions and etc...

guess ppl who uses common sense and actually do such research are a rare and rarer gem ....

okie.. moving next in REIT is...

any new interesting reit gonna be listed ?

The one I eager to know is Stareit, aka their Q report without Starhill & Lot 10, and new properties injection.

I want to buy more.  tongue.gif
*

I think most people are reading which gives the best return in term of % yield.
*
yeah but its good to know what the REIT is holding/generating the money from.. offices/factory spaces/retail or what..

cause that might affect the return if you know the office rental is gonna go horland(burt bubble) but the last dividend is good and it has the highest return for last year.. tak kan u still wanna buy into it right ?

small caps aimsreit or saizen reit which pay a reasonable return but only down side is no short terms play moreover contra !!! buy from local IB have to charges twice the brokers fees (SG and MY) and its divvy also have to deduct management fees (based on my OSK) me is for diversification purposes.

just curious..

what are ur guys opinion on moving money from kwsp/epf into stocks especially REIT since they pay usually quarterly and biannually if got shit
as least they will only pull down that quarter and the next qtr performance only...

since i saw this year epf dividend kinda sad.. would like to push some into more higher return in longer term....

oh yeah another thing is, how the heck i take out from epf to put into stocks ?
