I just read on the Singapore News Paper on 18 March edition that they said only 3 words to describe this place. Small, Expensive, and waste of money. Izzit really that bad? no source at the moment coz i read it from a chinese paper yesterday night. will check which news paper is it tonight and upload the source later.

erm pangkey...singapore casino 18 years old already can enter if im not mistaken
*
just to correct you on this, Singapore's legal age to enter the casino is 21 years old and YES, they are very strict on this. They will put a sign board there stating the birthday for eg "16 August 1989". u must be born b4 that date to enter. And even u look like 80 years old uncle, they will still check ur passport and scan it with their machine like in the immigration. so there is no way u can sneak in like Genting. I am talking about Marina Bay Sands though. But the last time i went Sentosa its also the same, they will check all Passport. But not sure if they got put the birthday sign there.

marina bay sands have no restriction on dressing code? short pant and sandal/slipper
*
as far as i know, no slipper, no short pants. but not sure if T-Shirt without collar is allowed. But its best to stick to Genting's rules, then no prob.

Just went to USS yesterday for the after hours event. Nothing special. Just allow you to enter to look around the shops in the theme park, they even block out the places near the rides even the rides are close. So in other words, u can only walk in less than 1/5 of the theme park. I believe the major thing they are selling is just the fire works.

Hi All,

Those who had travelled to Singapore, I'd like to ask you, is the Marina Bay Sands worth visiting?
I heard the casino is the main attraction - but I am not a gambler (and dont wish to gamble), will I still find it entertaining and interesting to visit it?

Also, I heard (again from ppl) that everything need to pay at the Marina Bay Sands. Is it true?

Thanks~
*
Main attraction in Sands is actually the sky garden ($25 entry fees) and the casino. other than that, its basically a hotel and a shopping mall (branded stuff). after paying $25, u can only see the night view in Singapore and cannot use the facilities in the sky garden, so i find it a bit pricey and i have not visited it yet coz i don't think it worth paying $25 just to take a glance on the Singapore night scene.

The Transformers ride will be launched in SG then only in the US! According to wikipedia it is opening end 2011

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers:_The_Ride

Plus there are AFTER DARK tickets for the weekends. Only 5 dollars, you are allowed to enter the park at 7pm and stay until the fireworks. But you are not allowed to go for any rides, free access to the entire park except for rides.
*
the after dark tickets only allow you to access a very small area of the park. Only up until the pizza store. I went in once, quite disappointing. But I am not sure how big the real thing is because never bought the day tickets b4.
