I just found out that my maid passport is expiring on 15 April and her work visa expires on 9 June. I am thinking of doing the passport renewal myself without going through an agent. I called the agent and they charge RM350 for the renewal service which i am not willing to pay. I found out for indon passport renewal it coz only from RM18-48 only. So I am thinking of doing it myself since it's not too expensive and I can keep my maid for an extra 6 weeks. Yes, only six weeks but I am going to move house and I really need help! Any info and tips would really be appreciated.

if only to renew passport, just take her and bring the passport , to the indonesian embassy would do.

find out the address of the embassy online.

if work permit also need to renew . after the passport is done, then find out or google "malaysia work permit", should be the immigration department thing

Thanks for reply. yes just to renew passport but I would like to find out if anyone knows whether it is very tedious or it's not that difficult.

never experience but heard a lot of friends mention, you will see many people , mostly those agent's runners, "cut Q" or get their things done faster than you although u have been there for 1whole day...and when processing & waiting in the embassy, imagine those amount of indon construction workers and others indon immigrants we have here in whole malaysia has to get it done in KL the embassy.

it is tedious, that's why those agents earn big bucks.
