My current setup.

Samsung 40" LED TV

HDMI1 = PS3
HDMI2 = HYPPTV
HDMI3/DVI = PC
AV = DVD

Connected via WIFI to Unifi router.
Though wondering if I should use a wired connection instead as some people said WIFI makes it run hot.

go for LED panel.
i am currently using Samsung LED.
LCD too bright/glaring for my liking hurt eyes after long hours of gaming.
Plasma not sharp enough.

why so cheap?
got downside on this TV?
*
here are a few reasons:
1. it is LCD not LED
2. it is series 5, current is series 7
3. should be clear stock, good price for that you get though wink.gif

Sorry guys, could be annoying question...what is the different between i and P (1080i/1080p)?i bought Regza 32' LCD and i try to used 1080p on my ps3 setting, but the screen froze to black..anyone experience this?...
*
p is better than i but not every hardware supports 1080p.

i = interlaced, 30Hz line on display for every other 60Hz line.
p = progressive, all lines displayed at 60Hz

I see. Where to check the input speed in the spec (or it is not mentioned)? Or is it the response time?

someone just sticky this.

the best bang for your buck is this....

toshiba 40av700e
full hd 1080
4 hdmi ports
rm1699
40" panel

now everyone can "see" LOL!

imagine rm1699 x 3 = eyefinity setup = crazy drool.gif

in settings try playing around with:

1. game settings -> ps upscaler
2. game settings -> ps smoothing
3. video settings -> 1080p 24hz output
4. display settings -> video output settings

gluck!

HDMI -> DVI are just converters not true HDMI.
perhaps wiring issues when they make the cable.
even if both machines are off there is a small power drain from each other so the tv knows what is plugged in.

i'm thinking maybe something not connected in the wires thus the tv cannot detect the ps3 video unless getting full power when the ps3 is on.

dont know if this the right thread...but between plasma n lcd..which one is better?other than led is saving electricity?for ps3 n beyond...thnx...and what brand u all suggest?
*
they're about the same if you aren't really particular.
plasma is not so bright and abit fuzzy thus works well with non-HD stuff.
lcd/led are the same just lighting technology, i find led easier on the eyes though.

Latest plasma tech already include the anti screen burning. Im using a Samsung 42" Plasma for my self about a year already and so far had no problem on the screen. To me plasma contrast is way better compared to LCD. Only downside is that plasma tend to use more power than LCD/LED.
*
but the upside is plasma is a cheap way to get big flat screen.
last i check prices for 40-50" plasma's are always 30-40% cheaper than lcd/led variants.
