I'm afraid that's not possible, both are different signals thus you'd need a converter to do that which isn't cost efficient. Get a new monitor instead.

LCD monitor with VGA only??? No DVI slot?

Added on October 25, 2010, 5:15 pm

Yes, I definitely agree with this no difference on the output. Better get normal HDMI cable, works fine for me! I even borrow my frens MONSTER cable, obviously no diff on the output.javascript:emoticon('')

No such cable and even if there is one, you won't be able to play since PS3 does not output through VGA signal. The closest thing you will get is a converter box and that will not result in a desirable picture quality compared to DVI or HDMI.

The A66 series doesn't have a media player built into it. That is available in another model which is more expensive.

I just bought it 2 days ago at Harvey Norman .. went to IKANO and it was sold out i was like FFFFF....

then the salesman say, i make payment here(obviously he wanted his commission haha) and pickup my LCD at other branch, after few calls, it happened that Sunway Pyramid got stock (duno how many though) then straight away go sapu...

i got it at 1,299 after negotiated.

n all i can say is its a bloody good LCD u can have at that price, with Full HD capability! enjoying every second of it!

LC-42A66M, the only downside is... theres no built-in media player inside, so everything has to go via PS3.

but still, its a bang for bucks  notworthy.gif

nice to see u got ur preferred LCD model... rolleyes.gif but i'm looking for 42 inches....i got an eye on panasonic models....cuz they are good at TVs...but sharp panel is made in japan......so kinda dilemma....on brand as well plasma v lcd factors as well......since i will be using it for ps3, blue-ray movies, astro b. at the same time i want usb output which can play .mkv files...but seems like panasonic have usb ports for higher end models only....
do the burn-effect still going on for latest plasma models?

It's the newest HDMI, so the price you know how much. Sony 3D-ready HDMI aka HDMI v1.4a is retailed at RM198  brows.gif
you can't blame them if the suppliers sell them at a high stock price, can you?  sweat.gif
yeah PS3 do support HDMI v1.4a via firmware upgrade. If you have a 3D TV, just invest a lil bit more to make things work as they should. I have one extra Sony 3D HDMI cable. Interested?  tongue.gif

no thx bro...i cant afford 3d tv yet.... doh.gif
