QUOTE(Cloud77 @ Mar 22 2010, 12:07 PM) Hello to all pro here. Need your advice to my problem I encountered. I have Sharp Aquos LCD TV LC42A66M (confirmed full HD). I recently purchased PS3 Slim 250GB (SG). I set PS3 display output at 1080p. Intermittenly, my LCD TV screen would flicker together with loss of sound, blackout (but sound still on). This happens even on menu screen. This problem would not happen at 1080i setting. I have tried the following HDMI cable: 1) Non-branded 1.8m HDMI Cable - (RM40) 2) Tinybee 1.8m High Speed HDMI Cable v1.3 - PS3 compatible (RM60) 3) Giraffe 2.0m HDMI Extreme AV (RM99) I'm lost now, don't know which HDMI cable compatible with my LCD TV. Anyone could recommend compatible HDMI cable for my LCD TV? Change ur PS3 output to 1080i, not 1080p. I had similar problem coz i'm using LC42A77M with PS3 Fat and that's what I did. Not sure if it'll help for urs though..

QUOTE(Cloud77 @ Mar 24 2010, 06:00 PM) Thanks for your suggestion. I'm doing that right now. But kind of wasted the hardware capability. Anyway, will continue to search the right HDMI cable by try and error. Don't think it has anything to do with cables. Do a search on PS3 with Sharp TV and u'll find out a lot of information. I did the same earlier, (Swapped various cables to get this to work) but still the same. Ended up setting it at 1080i. No worries, i don't think ur eyes will be sensitive enough to notice the difference anyway.. PS: Lots of ppl (i googled) tested and found out that Port 4 usually works well. Did u try that? Not sure why this is happening at all.. maybe some Si fu here can enlighten us a bit on this? I have no problems running for other things (my pc runs perfectly fine and tested dedicated bluray players) no problem too. Just with PS3 setting at 1080p. By the way, during flickering, do u hear any static noise or "chiak chiak" sound coming out from your TV? Here's some solution that I found back then, maybe u wanna try it out? lol.. http://www.fixya.com/support/t1097233-play..._when_set_1080pGood luck! QUOTE(Eoma @ Mar 26 2010, 06:03 PM) I have a Sharp LC37A65M and using Belkin HDMI cables. Works great. A cheap HDMI cable has blinking dots @ 1080p 60Hz. If I drop it to 1080p 24Hz it's ok. I use that cable for the WDTV live. edit: wrong quote. ehehe. I don't think tat's my post becoz i don't even have a PS3 slim.... Hmm.. Seems that Belkin HDMI cables has good reviews.. I'll give it a try..
