I am using msi 770-c45 mobo and AMD ATHLON II x 4 620 processor..
I wanna overclock it to a higher speed... but 1st i wan to unlock it...
how to unlock it and after that overclock it?
can anyone teach me step by step? thx in advance

if ya core is propus, there's nothing else to be unlocked.

if ya core is deneb, there's 6MB L3 cache to be unlocked.

cache unlocking is same as core unlocking method, u need am2+/am3 board w/ sb710/750 & core unlocking capable bios.

as for oc question, read d stickies in amd oc thread.

U sure propus cannot be unlocked ady?
but i watch a link in youtube teaching us to unlock cache... it is propus...

thats because the core is Deneb base and not Propus.

sry... i still not understand la... y said the core is deneb base,not propus...
but y is it showing propus la?

because if its show deneb then people would go for it instead of the propus base.

so the deneb base will be sold more than the propus based and that is costly to AMD and defeat the purpose of em creating Propus.

ohic... so how do I check my processor whether is deneb base onot?
use cpuz?

set unlock cpu = enable, acc = auto, if u can see 6MB L3 cache in cpu-z = deneb, if no 6MB L3 cache = propus. alternatively u can pop out d chip & check d code.

CACYC AC = Deneb
CACYC AD = Propus

Why dun use cpu id to check it ?

u won't know whether ur gettin a deneb/propus core unless:

- u try to unlock it using d same method as core unlocking OR check d code engraved on d chip.

iirc, a deneb core w/ l3 cache locked will be recognized as propus in cpu-z.
