Hi guys! I have a few question regarding the first service for my new car.
I just got my MYVI on last 2 weeks. I working as a technical support so i need to travel a lot, but mostly within KL and Selangor. By today my MYVI mileage already reach around 800KM, that mean i need to send for service after next 200KM.
So, as the sales person told me, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd (which is 1k, 5k and 10k KM) they only charge for the Oil and some other things where labor charge are FOC.
I like to know roughly how much will cost for the first service? I asked the sales person but she couldn't give me the exact fees, she only told me will be around RM200 - RM250.
So, basically i just like to know roughly how much will it cost for the first service and what kind of service they provide? I would like to know the cost for 2nd and 3rd service as well if possible.
Thanks in advance notworthy.gif

my fren serviced his savvy last week for the same interval as yours (1000km). of course the labor is FOC but the things they change will be charged.

he serviced at juru proton and got charged like 300RM. plus minus. they put that fully synthetic oil and remove some things. i know p1, p2 savvy n myvi isnt exactly in the same bracket but i reckon just get ur purse ready with 300-350RM. tops.

it wont be over that.

Ok, i see.
Quite expensive, haha!
By the way, now for MYVI they given 6 years warranty on engine and gear box.
That mean i need to send for service at their service center until 750k KM or 6 years.
Is it worth it?
My friend tell me just send for the 1st 3 service then other service just send to those private workshop.
But as i know it will void the warranty.
But still, is it worth it? Because the maintenance fees is much higher if i send to their service center.

my advise is first 3 yrs sent in for service is worth as u got the warranty on other part as well. I dun think so perodua cover everything in 6 years right?

for my nissan, i'd change 2 pairs of absorber and siren and all funny funny stuff for FOC. Else u need to pay every single thing in your own.

Nope, not everything. Only the engine, gearbox and roof for 6 years. Others just 3 years.

damn it. u sure between rm300 and rm350?
even forte if use fully synthetic the cost only rm227 (for 1st and 2nd service, labor FOC)

then still people say korean car maintenance expensive.

i own a wira SE before, but not expensive as savvy.

first 1000km service for myvi will cost u around rm130. myvi is well known for cheap service..usually standard service package(not major) will only cost u less than rm150. major around 280-350. u can check the service cost at p2 website.

i doubt it will be 6 years. u are travelling all around, surely that period (years) clause wont be necessary. instead, watch it on that kilometres clause.

i am already coming to 40k km with my city, and 2 months still going for a full year. already working on how to kong the battery since honda said under 40k km or 2 years ( i think) can get new one FOC hmm.gif

some would say the same about 3 times go official workshop then go private. of course i think for a myvi ( i humbly am not saying it is 'just a car' ) that would be appropriate. u would save much about the cost. i believe the normal workshops are more than enough. as long as u service it at the right interval, it wont be giving u any head ache.

as for me, i'd prefer for a honda authorized workshop. this is my first car and quite expensive one, so i want to be on the safe side and let honda workshop do the servicing. of course it would cost me a lot (40k km interval service would cost me nearly 800RM !!! ), but it gives me peace of mind. and also with all the works done being recorded, in the latter stage if it is necessary to let it go, definitely it will come handy~

WTH... where got so expensive? If just change oil should be inside RM 150 (MAX!) Semi-syn oil only around RM 95 for Idemitsu and Mobil Super S. I think Perodua's one should be a little cheaper.

Fuiyo...ur friend kena potong. Where got so expensive!! I've both Savvy and Myvi. 1st service very cheap only RM100++ max. No way > RM200. WTH put FULLY SYNTHETHIC OIL in the Savvy?? Hello, this is only small engine car. It's not 2.0cc car lah!!! For Myvi and Savvy semi-synth will do just fine. Your friend kena tipu.
I noticed this is what usually happens..if u go to Authorized Dealers SC, they'll upsell u with junks you don't need. Usually branch SC are more honest...but best is be a smart consumer and knows whst u need to buy.

The PJ one, near the roundabout to the Nanyang Siang Pau (or is it Sin Chew Jit Pau). My wife's Myvi always service there.
