Mine is written "CKD"

for CBU got CBU emblem outside.
for CKD no emblem.

basically all forte is CKD from the beginning..

Was there on Saturday afternoon - saw your forte - your SA lovingly wipe your car - btw I heard that there is a burning smell at the brakes which needs to be worn in - is this true?

SA don't call customers unless they can walk the talk. Unless he wants the d/payment only le.

hey guys, for interior -there's only 1 color/no other options, right?

saw GREY, RED and BLACK interior color options on international website...

I thikn 2.0 comes with grey leather. 1.6 with black fabric only

indeed i smell something after driving(when get out of car), my SA did inform me about the smell, looks like it is common, but is from the brake or the tyre?

damn, my driver side window got problem, when going up time sometime will slow or jam, suspect the rubber not fix properly after tint.....need to go back to fix it.

Oh no .. some reliabilty concern here.

if your handbrake is too tight will cause this smell cause this car has 2 brakes behind 1 set for disc brake another set for hand brakes.
after u run in the handbrake pads will not touch the drum so much. DRUM>??? yes if u see behind disc its very thick between the disc to rims inside is the handbrake looks like drum brake.

Just want to share something. My mother sent her car for servicing at UMW last Thursday and casually mentioned to her regular service assistant that I am changing my vios for the forte. The SA told my mom that the Forte is a very good car with the Mitsubishi engine platform and a good price but of course he ended his sentence that "toyota is still number 1.... . I have a feeling if the SA wasn't working for T, he would have bought the Forte... " Anyway, now my mom does not give a hard time anymore for changing from T to K...

no. its workmanship of the tint shop. some rattling sound on passengers door also occur only after they did tint.
its due to door panel not properly fixed back by the tint technician.

Wheww That was a close call. Will bear in mind when do tinting ..THnx
