Anyone has a personal opinion as to what 'a fun car to drive' means? Handling? Speed? ICE? NVH?

Is your forte 'a fun car to drive'?
I don't want to feel bored driving 3 hrs to-back from work dly.
*
fun. really enjoy it. corner no need braking but annoyed with other car that slowing down (brake) when cornering. hehe
don't forget to play your favourite song in MP3 (stock speaker damn good). use shiftronic if you want further excitement.

Oh no .. some reliabilty concern here.  ohmy.gif

no. its workmanship of the tint shop. some rattling sound on passengers door also occur only after they did tint.
its due to door panel not properly fixed back by the tint technician.

one more question....
the test drive car that u all went to test drive is purely test drive car or is stockroom car??
i went to SP KIA branch test drive right.... they jt use the selling car = stockroom car to let me test drive....

not like other got special test drive car for us to test..... is that true ma??

the car is realy worth for money.... but my parents strongly disagree ..... said better get rid of the korea car.... hahhaa all bcoz of kia spectra....
coz my wife's uncle use it.... he jt goyang kepala when listen KIA.....
*
usually branch have own test drive car with stickers all around them.
what do you mean with stockroom? showroom unit? if showroom unit maybe okay la. if customer cars then its wrong already.

if you have guts just buy forte. u're the one that will drive and face all headache not them. hehehe
unless they're the one who will pay the downpayment for u.. whistling.gif

so far, no problem with forte. majority satisfied with the performance, FC..

Hey guys! I'm looking for a second hand car so Spectra is in my list of consideration as it's pretty affordable for a, say, year 2004 model.

Want to ask if it's a good car worth buying 2nd hand? How's the fuel consumption like? Does it give you much problem? Easy/hard to maintain and is the cost high?
*
don't buy this one. FC will kill you and your car drink petrol more than u can drink water in a day.

QUOTE(kiaforteclub @ Mar 22 2010, 06:23 PM)
aiks i got confused suddenly tot i was in SPECTRA tread pulak....... phew lucky its still Forte hahahaha

Hey folks, regarding the Autofoam, I'd like to know if you need to book a slot or not if going to KL Auto (for instance like Sierra Glow)? I'm staying in Penang so can only make one trip to hear about the packages and do installation....

I also have the common door rattling issue, who are the best people to solve this issue (the SC ppl don't look experienced at Forte, dunno what will happen if they open it up)? The other issue was car cushion noise, but after sending 2x to SC they agreed to order new seat to replace...

Been enjoying my car so far, but the only bad thing is that it seems to attract "Scratchers". Park somewhere and I'll come back to find scratch marks made out of coin or key... mad.gif
Actually before my ride came I kept calling my SA to push and hoping her to call. Sometimes she din answer and it ended up with me making average 5-10 calls per day. Then I noticed: "damn, worse than tackling girl" laugh.gif
*
regarding the door rattling sound issue, before you log a report to SC, better u check whether the sound occured since the day one u get the car or only after you did tinting?
if before its a defect. if after its the workmanship of the tint technician, ask them to open back the door panel and fit it back properly. this case is for security tint (coz need to open the door panel)

QUOTE(guess1805 @ Mar 23 2010, 12:00 AM)

other cars they have check engine whereby the lights will go off before we start the engine

how come our Forte does not have this function?
*
just don't straight away start your engine ler..
push the start button twice without pressing the break.
once engine light goes off then only press brake + push button

the tint was done by my SA. free from him. then i found out the sound on 3rd days after driving it.

my previous car(myvi) also full with RATtling sound, that y i trade in it and change to forte, who knows my Forte also give me same problem...

really upset~~ mad.gif
*
then the rattling sound comes from poor workmanship of the tinting shop.
just ask them to fit back the door panel properly.

its confirm by one of the owner here.. after send back to fix, no more rattling sound. he also notice the sound occur only after tinted.
i also got rattling sound after repair dent on my door. haven't send for fix the door panel yet.

can some1 reply to my earlier msg, as to which is recommended: sierraglow or ?
*
SG
pro: 5 years warranty, no maintenance
cons: dunno, maybe maintenance done by yourself. super hell long waiting list

PPS
pro: 5 years warranty
cons: need maintenance at least once a year (cost roughly about rm100). shorter waiting list than SG.

Nano: Cheapest among all, RM250 only. No waiting list? LOL
cons: 1 year warranty. eh or is it 6 months arr??

decide which one suits your needs.

QUOTE(J_D @ Mar 24 2010, 01:40 PM)
Hi, does anyone here encounter the situation where your Forte is parked under the hot sun for quite awhile and once you turn on the aircond, it takes a good 20 - 30 mins before the car actually becomes cool?

I have been experiencing this (I just got my car about a week ago) and it only seems to happen when the car is parked under the hot sun (I know you will need some time before the car becomes cool but 20-30 mins?? [and sweating during that time?!]) and the aircond seems to be 'alternating' between hot and cool air.

I'm going to bring this up at the SC but just want to know if anybody had this prob and if so, what seems to be the issue.
*
reset the aircond.
open aircond and blow them with lowest temperature available for 10 mins.
Then shutdown your engine and let it off for 10 mins.

Then start back and test. is the alternating warm and cold still there? if yes, have to check with SC.

What are the differences with SG, PPS and Nano besides the waiting list? i;ve already booked a slot for SG for 6th April. so not too long away. Need to know on the effects of the product itself
*
not sure. i haven't apply mine.. tongue.gif

QUOTE(lwkong @ Mar 24 2010, 02:05 PM)
mine is ok. maybe is I already apply tint.
my old car without tint, also need about half hr to cool down.
trick to faster cooldown, open your car windows for 1-2 minute while driving. let the hot air go out, then aircon will cool faster.
*
yup. and also can prevent windscreen crack due to sudden temperature changes from extreme hot to cold.
