Bros, one question regarding PPS / SG.

I plan to do it once i get my car but i keep hearing that you can't wash the car with soap, just rinse with water?
*
u can wash the car with mild soap... just try to make sure not to use those wax n wash 2-in-1 type.
i guess the rest pretty much answered smile.gif

i am a light footer ler...
or the meter is not accurate?
*
bro, judging from the place i saw ur car b4... sunway / pj... if u r travellin around these areas frequently and caught in those bad jams, it's not surprising to get FC of 11 or 12l over 100km lo.

i was stuck along the jln templer stretch for half an hour last week, and saw FC shot up from 10.something to 11.something. i think the meter is quite accurate in tat sense la.. the car just sits there burning fuel...

hmm... maybe when the time u stick it u didn't clean it well?
1. i've seen it on kspec.
2. can get it from the forum here.. RM245. waiting for yhlee to test it tho.
*
eh bro... i thought i mentioned some way back... when i 1st got the filter... tongue.gif

anyway i can say the pick up is better now... step a bit on the pedal and it will move already... compare to previously need to wait like er... 1/2 a second then only the car will move? in start stop traffic also when u release pedal the car will move a bit faster... i hope it's not psycho effect la hehhee

din see much improvement on FC though... current tank of fuel is the 1st one with filter on. tank b4 tat was like 75% with new filter, but din see much diff in FC smile.gif

*
it's not s/steel ler... i bought k&n... the seller is registered user in LYN... maybe i can PM u guys the contact if u r interested.
the item's in singapore though... waited for a week to be shipped from singapore.

i thought somebody bought s/steel filter few days back... maybe taht bro can provide updates for comparison too wink.gif

also... for k&n need to oil the filter... when i 1st got mine there's oil there but not too oily la.
i think that's the tricky part when need to clean / service it later but tat will be 30k to 40k km from now... i'm not heavy user.. hehe

yeah i was wondering too.... tongue.gif

nearly 100 car owners in LYN alone! wow that would be like, 10% of owners are here?

hehee purely based on feb sales figure, and assuming that another few hundred cars have been delivered in march, so total forte's OTR now should be more than 1000 dy! rclxms.gif

Hi all Forte-zen, after scouting around, I am able to get two 'good' offer from Raytech and Solar-Tint Shop.

What you all think. Which one is better deal. For actual price please PM me.
*
4 mil security tint is the most suitable one to be installed in a car because anything more than 4 mil is too thick, and when it's thick, ur power window motor life span will be shorter...

just wat i heard before icon_rolleyes.gif

for mud flaps, actually i'm trying to buy from china... from either one of these links:
http://item.taobao.com/auction/item_detail....jhtml?cm_cat=0
http://item.taobao.com/auction/item_detail....jhtml?cm_cat=0

i tried to buy from another seller once, but he doesn't have stock for forte so now trying these 2 links. if successful then maybe can order in bulk, benefit to future owners as well wink.gif

oh btw, price is about RM50 per set. won't exceed RM55 i guess.

Bro yhlee12, 50 yuan is only 25RM or 26RM - even with postage it should be cheaper than other alternatives only that whether these will fit our Fortes
*
bro... prob is need to go through ppl here to get their partners in china to buy items there itself, get it packed and shipped back to malaysia.

the way they calculate is the total in RMB (item price + shipping within china) divide by 1.8, then add another 18% service charge.

i took 65RMB + 15RMB to come out with the RM price of 52+

so, hope i can get mine soon enough, then we'll see whether these things fit on our forte biggrin.gif

Count me in for the mudflap bulk bro. Comes painted and it's custom made for forte. Should be able to fit perfectly without the need to drill any holes?
*
by right... should be... i see the screw holes on the mud flap and the ones at the wheel arch are pretty much aligned.

but then again when buy things from china have to be careful lo.... not all things r good.. there's a bit of risk here sweat.gif

FYI the photo shown is not the same unit from SG (below). even SG ones are from China also but it fits nicely but for front mudflaps u need to drill bottom part holes to your panel. the mudflap has holes but not the body! for the back the holes are all there in the bumper so no drilling.
*
oh ok... so where did u do the drilling for the front ones?
will update more once i get mine (another few weeks....)

hopefully this seller got stock la.

YUP.. I can do that ! My Uncle has a offical in Guang Zhou. And he trade with CHN Goods.. I can arrange that.. Let me come back to you all later.. But, the price will not be RMB 55 like u see in the taobao.. It is because, we need to pay for shipping + gov tax.. It is quite a complex process where comes to customs declaration.. What is the product code etc.. And usually, we use CHN agent service.. Where they will "kao tim" all this and when the vessel arrive. We just collect the goods.. And also, have to use CASH to buy the goods only they will send to store and schedule for vessel..
*
bro, can refer to my earlier post... there r ppl doing this kind of business
