mine both iphone and ipod touch with firmware 3.0 and latest can detect..

btw, i found 1 thing.. if u r playing thru ur ipod/ iphone (cable plugged in).. then reach a destination and u stop the engine without pulggin out the ipod..

the nex time u start ur car.. the radio cant detect the ipod.. this happens to me everything.. need to off n on the engine again
