is there any difference in specs between the CBU & CKD?

How do we know which batch of Forte? Is there any indication/ serial?  

Hi to all Fortenian, I will be getting my Forte 1.6 SX by next Tuesday  (hopefully my SA wouldn't call me to delay it  )..really excited. Just to share with you all my 'journey' in getting the Forte:

Branch: Kampung Baru Naza HQ
SA: En. Syamsuddin (helpful. 012-3162396 / 019-3562396)
22/03/2010: Apply ban loan (RHB, 2.8%)
25/03/2010: Bank phone interview
29/03/2010: Loan approved, sign agreement
30/03/2010: Complete down payment
Now wait...................................till 06/04/2010

I got a few questions to ask all the sifu here.

1. SA told me that I have to go with him to Rawang to collect my car. Do I need to drive my SA to Rawang. If yes then who is driving back the car to showroom? Me or the SA?

2. I got an offer from my SA for car tinting. Shop name is Solar Tint-shop. Got branch at setapak, subang and a few more. US film, 3mm for front and rear screen, 6 mm for all the windows. VLT 70%, UVR 99% and IRR 95%. 10 years warranty. Cost RM 1700. Another one not from my SA: Raytech, 7 yrs warranty, CS Centurion 6mm for windows (VLT 55%, UVR 99%, IRR 95%, TSER 62%), V90 for front and rear screen (VLT 70%, IRR 90%, UVR 99%). Cost RM 2000, if by group (at least 4 cars) discount RM200. What do you all think? Or you guys got better choice.

3. I understand that the charge to buy car no is RM210. But my friend told me that there is one more category that cost RM 310. RM 210 is for sequential no and RM 310 is for jumping no. Any comment from the sifus?

4. Apart from the car checklist items, is there anything that I need to pay attention when I collect my car from Rawang?

Dear Forte Owners, i think we should standardize our 'nationality' here. I see alot of ppl calling forte owners, Fortezen, Forteian, Forteran etc, so what should the proper name be??

If end with 'e' should be ean? Like Fortean?

Hehe just a thought.

i think fortezen is not a good idea since it's my nick here.. lolz

Wanna test for the 2.0L to see what I have missed or maybe what I will be glad at not waiting.. well, a mix feeling since as a lot said before. Forte 2.0SX is my first love... hard to forget the fact.

Also, ever since I drove my current car for a while, Honda City 06 with CVT now seems like not smooth anymore, lagging like hell and no pick up, brake not biting. So, I will do a back to back test drive again on the Forte 1.6 and Forte 2.0 to write another review.. but this time not from someone that previously drive an Iswara but someone to compares the Forte with the Conti... it should be an interesting  comparison to see if how much the extra 40k+ worth / not worth between the 2 x 2.0L model.

At Cyberjaya, opposite Secret Recipe, there's huge car parking space. And if its Saturday, the place will be empty.  Any members at Cyberjaya can kindly confirm this? Perhaps help to snap a few pictures.

i noticed there's some sort of "yik yik" noise/sound on the driver's side when the car is moving....i dont think it's normal coz it bothers me....i tried shutting off the aircon coz someone mentioned that it could be the aircond but not cured

anyone knows what is that sound and how to get rid of it? Thanks guyz

working la bro....so got to skip some posts....now i know i skipped important posts....heheheh....thanks for the comfort and i do hope the sound wud go off later.....

mine is "gok gok" sound from aircon, but last for 10 secs when i start a car. or change the temperature.
and "chak" sound, when i pushed reverse gear~

does it make any difference if i order the 2-point Ultra Racing front strut bar & rear strut bar?

why do u need that?

like as iluvena said feels good on the side corners..

will do the testing soon, see if there's any difference on the handling side. floating when at max speed? i havent heard of that when intalling the strut bar..prolly do some research.

5. Driver's door perhaps?

for my car i'm still not sure enough where the sound came from..door or seat. need to rectify that after this. But the sound is not that annoying since it happen occasionally when i drive on a harsh enough road
