hey guys..i'm looking to buy an f/2.8 telephoto lens..of course it will not 70-200 vr II, damn expensive..should i get either a tamron/sigma or nikkor 80-200? i already read bunch of reviews but still couldnt make up my mind..

Thanks man..definitely 70-200 vr II is the choice but the price is just ..i read that sigma already release the new 70-200 f/2.8 with OS..maybe i should wait for that and see how it goes..

this might be true..here Nikon USA give USD150 (~RM500) instant rebate for most of the model including D90 and D5000..but the discount will last until 1st May, dunno in Malaysia how long..my fren just bought a D5000 kit with 18-55vr and 55-200vr, along with a nikon bag for USD 779 (~RM2600)..

Yeah, sadly until 1 May oni (in USA)..and discount for D300s with 18-200vrII is even more (USD250~RM850)..damn, if only i dont have my D90..surely grab 1..i guess Nikon purposely made in within a time range so people will rush out and buy..maybe clearing inventory for the new upcoming models perhaps..who knows..

Most reviews? not so sure about that, coz i read mix reviews, some say better and some say not. but in term of ease of use i still prefer D90 than 550D. you cant deny the advantage of having a top lcd screen on D90, not to mention the dual control dials vs. one on 550D. And also you dont need to push an extra button to change the AF focus point (plus 11 points vs. 9 points). However, in terms of video, 550D is the clear winner. But heck, I only use my video once, just to test that it is well functioning and to see how does it looks like..
