How do u noe which Display setting is the best for your HDTV??

i currently have a ati 5850 hooked up to my pc, using a hdtv as display. But when i surf some other websites, some images do look like theyre not image display quality, and same for some of my programme icons on my desktop. Same for the alphabats on my desktop, sometimes they look abit blurry.
im worried that i didnt fully utilize my graphic card's display.

is there a way to check/set which display that is the best for your HDTV?
and is there a way to make the words bigger? on a 1080 display the wording are very small, hurting me eyes!! lol

And If i always change my HDTV's resolution by using the display card setting, it makes the HDTV blinks like 1-2 seconds before it changes its resolution.....will this step hurt my HDTV???

try setting it to 1280x720. text will be easier on the eye.
changing resolution on the HDTV won't hurt it.

biggest resolution doesnt mean the icon and wording bigger..
you can change the icon DPI and word size manually if you want it bigger....
