Adam Jensen will be voiced by Elias Toufexis.
Five metropolises are included and Detroit, Shanghai and Montreal have been confirmed. In addition, the protagonist will have his own apartment where he may store his secrets and collected information. The events in the game will lead to the formation of UNATCO from the original game. Early reviews of the game are looking good. I read one of them over at Joystiq Xbox and they rated the game a nice 4.5 out of 5 stars. That is some pretty impressive feat i might say.
Looking strong indeed . It's freaking Deus EX , done right hopefully . I tried the leak and it seems really good , many agreed that this had the same vibe as first Deus Ex .
takes me 1-2 day to finish it, so that may give you some idea on how good and how long it is (the leaked one is just a small portion of the whole game from what i've heard)
Anyone else find it funny that an Ex Swat needs to rely on battery power in order to be able to take down enemies?
Maybe there's a Fisher augmentation down the road?
There's a battery recharge augmentation i think, but it only recharges the first battery. I'm going hardcore here and trying for the pacifist achievement on the hardest difficulty so i really hope that stealth becomes OP later on.

Well I guess the story conceit is that the ex SWAT guy did get massive augmentations, which probably don't work without batteries. Lol. Its funny especially when you just stun enemies with a punch or a neck grab and it takes energy lol. I wonder if it takes batteries for him to go to the loo. Maybe that's why he can only flush and not piss.

That's the thing man, you dont use batteries to climb up and down ladders. How much power does it take to subdue a guy?!?!?!

Well, nobody's perfect
btw technically it's not really a battery, it's just that Sarif Series 8 Energy Converter works damn slow for its current iteration. Or maybe the capacity of the storage is limited to prevent damage on Jensen's body and brain.
The person still eat energy bar just like the rest of us.

I'd buy the energy converter efficiency argument if I was talking about the lethal take downs where you pop a blade out of your arms or something. I'm talking about the non lethal smack them in the head with the gun butt, or choke them unconcious things we keep doing like Sam Fisher. If you said that exerts too much energy and effort, then explain how you can spring, roll, climb without using up battery power.
And remember.. it's not like he's not TRAINED to take down people and have to rely fully on his augmentations to do it.

hahaha...you're right bout that. now that makes me wonder why, deym!
so adam jensen is just like a duracell bunny then!

yeah man it's basically just a balancing issue. if it doesn't use any energy, i can totally see myself just running around doing takedowns to everyone. BUUUUUT i find it a bit stupid not to include just a normal melee attack.
but god dayyuuumn this game is awesome. super addictive. can spend hours just exploring the world.
This is 1st person with 3rd person camera when you're in cover.

I prefer the Batman : Arkham Aslyum way of stopping the player from simply knocking out everyone. Makes more sense too, not like Mr "I don't know how to smash someone's face without batteries" Jensen.

Yep always a pain to try to do a takedown and then suddenly bzzzt red screen cause no energy left. Jensen dies horribly too ... plus loading screens take forever. It's a stunning game though. Would prefer if it was in 3rd person throughout. A little disorientating to move from cover at times.
My good old friend Haas denied me access to the morgue. Well, i guess they will forever remember that day as the police station massacre.
Didn't Mr Sarif specifically mentioned against multiple homicides to get the info? Was there any extra dialog to point out you killed a bunch of cops then?
Sadly the media is pretty ignorant; didnt hear any news regarding the bloody station.
Sarif denied me access to the information he channeled before the employment. I woulda put a bullet in his head if i am able to pull the gun out in HQ.
The Hive bouncer wanted 1500 credits for entry. I gave him a counter-offer. A bullet in his head for entry. Well, it is not really an offer because he was forced to accept my generous offer. A busybody cop came over to investigate though. He forced my hand.
Tong said how his bees will be coming out from every corner... I just see all of them lying breathless on the floor. Tong's skull is bulletproof though. If not he will be on the floor too.

@marauderz - You actually use that on bosses?! The rocket launcher takes up almost 30% of inventory space. I rather stick with the revolver with upgrade explosive rounds. You get the gun early and it is extremely powerful even on the hardest difficulty. Malik can prove it.
Use typhoon on bosses, twice and they're dead - at least so far the first few bosses. Alternatively precision is best so 10mm upgraded is best .. but gotta get shots to the head.
Love this game! Can't believe anyone would find it boring.

Yeah, when I do my bad to the bone run, I'll pack a pistol with upgrades, now I just trust my rocket launcher

You went for the biochip recall didn't you? You knew there was a giant conspiracy over the augmentation industry, and you were fighting against them, and you STILL decided to go 'upgrade' the chip?
Granted I got all that through the boss guide, but I'm lucky I didn't do anything

2nd last boss possible to typhoon apparently. Lazy gamer guide to boss kills But as marauderz mentions ..

- don't go for chip replacement
Then - maybe have EMP/concussion immunity augment - extra damage armor augments
Plus - powerbars for energy
Typhoon kills him easy peasy in 2 blasts
LOL....unfortunately I went for the chip replacement, had to play a previous saved game from the seaport and conserve my grenade launcher ammo...once I got to the boss, 3 grenades took him to town hahahahah...thanks guys!
Haiyoooo...nasib baik tak beli ori....try dulu....game controls were so lousy.....
Pardon me my friend. When you said game controls were lousy; I dont really get which part of game controls were lousy. The cover system works so smoothly for me that I manage to pass through the game without killing anyone, without getting alarmed and on the hardest difficulty. Please dont say that holding X and tapping X button doesnt work for you. The sensitivity were just right to get the results you wanted.

u manage to beat (1000/1000) this game in 3 days only? so far only 259 completed it, u shud be proud man.. btw, scale 1 to 10, how hard to get 1000/1000? thanks..

The achievements aint hard at all; 3 out of 10. My first playthrough was aimed at Pacifist, Foxiest of the Hounds and on the hardest difficulty. The extra experience you get from non-lethal stealth kills may help a little. Always have multiple saves because some of the achievements requires you to do some action which will fail Pacifist/Foxiest.
My second round was the guns blazing on the easiest difficulty. Mopping up some of the achievements i missed and also going for the Doctorate achievement.
You could have gotten all of them in a single playthrough but this game truly deserves another round.... and maybe another too (there were a few guns which i didnt get to try ie. the heavy rifle, pulse rifle, laser rifle, rocket launcher, crossbow)

After all that discussion on this boss, I found him quite anti climatic. However, I did read the spoilers about the chip so i didn't install it but even on "Give me Deus Ex", the boss AI isn't exactly brilliant.

It took less than half a minute to kill him without taking any damage which leads me to think that installing the chip isn't such a big handicap for that fight.
Basically, i turned round at the start, ran down one of the corridors knowing he would charge and just left him a frag mine. After it hit, the mines keep him stun locked and you can keep throwing them at him while he staggers lol. Took about 5 frag mines to kill him.

not only the bosses ai are "dumb", regular ai are too. I found out that bots will not move room to room to search hiding players, climb ladders or stairs or anything that is out of their waypoint.
my first playthrough i went in guns blazing, and i found huge problems with enemy Ais and as well as its cover mechanics.
comparing to MGS4, deus ex Ais are better but not on par with current gen ais

Hah, in the end, I was just playing a fool and lugging a hacked turret around when I got to the boss fight, boss was as surprised as I was hat the turret was left in the corridor after the cutscene
Finished 2nd playthrough but missed out on the final cheevo .. Foxiest of the Hounds despite being super careful, having 20 saves and reloading games (with the loooooong load times)! That's the most painful achievement as you have no idea where you messed up. 3rd playthrough tomorrow Fortunately it's an awesome game .. definitely GOTY contender ... so replays are not a chore.

I think as long you hear the ZZZZIIING sound effect when you're sneaking around it means you're seen.
