What is the best way for me to overclock my Core 2 Quad Q9300 processor? I wish to OC it to about 2.8Ghz with stock cooling, is it possible? I am using a Nvidia 630i Motherboard. My desktop is Acer Aspire M5641 and i am using Windows 7. Other Spec is below my siggy.

Getting Started

|
Hmm it seems that you have never actually done any manual overclocking before. Before you start tampering around with any BIOS settings i think it would be better if you started of reading some of the more basic guides lying around. There are quite a few of them in the forums and they outline some of the more important aspects of basic overclocking. Make sure you know what you're doing and what to do in the event something unexpected happens.
