QUOTE(stan001 @ Sep 6 2010, 07:45 PM) I found this cool HTPC Nettop on Alibaba from iWill company.. This one can bitstream HD audio or not?ION Based Nettop with Atom 330 Dual Core + Nvidia 9400M http://iwill.en.alibaba.com/product/335000...ION_nettop.html It cost like US$180 per pieces ( board, power supply, chasis ) and they need minimal of 2 pcs of sample.. ( WITHOUT laptop RAM & 2.5" HDD )... Anyone interested to do bulk order & share the shipping cost... the more ppl sharing, the lower the shipping cost... This looks like a pretty small & powerful HTPC that looks like the mac mini... |

It's very hard to find a nice HTPC casing nowadays....
Added on September 11, 2010, 9:33 pmHas anyone experiencing tearing and stuttering for 1080p/24Hz playback using the the Core i3? Added on September 13, 2010, 5:01 pm QUOTE(kianwee @ May 9 2010, 09:22 AM) I'm hunting for a decent HTPC casing, was looking at Silverstone LC20 at the moment but the 80mm fan really turns me off, 120mm is a must for me to achieve higher airflow and most importantly it is not audible. There were a couple of Silverstone models which has 120mm fan but the design is not my cup of tea. Hey bro, is the remote controller that bundled in this casing able to control the WMC or XMBC?![]() This baby cost me around RM800, which is around Silverstone LC20 price I believe, and I have to ship it from US to Malaysia, since the nearest distributor in Singapore doesn't have it. Looking forward to complete my HTPC with Core i5 & H55 chipset. Now I'm looking for a decent heatsink for my i5, I'm planning to run passive to minimise the fan sound. QUOTE(paskal @ Sep 21 2010, 09:56 AM) i'm guessing you're gonna run into lots of problem if you still go on with your plans to go with the HTPC route. htpc requires lots of technical knowledge and is not for everyone. IMO you should seriusly consider the dune. Launching TMT3 using the default MCE Media Library is ok but when using Media Browser, it will not launch the TMT3 and it will give 'Unsupported file format'...1. similar performance. tho amd + ati takes more heat and more power compared to i3. and i3 have less 3d performance from its internal graphics. 2. i bought it from garage sales. lots of links given in pages before this. 3. yes. tmt3 have a mini player that works wonderfully with wmc first time i hear about nvidia chip that could bitstream. a new line i presume. and quick search on the net reveals that bitstream has some quirks that nvidia needs to sort out with the drivers. |

Currently I'm using ReClock to solve the audio bitrate switching issue when playing different high bitrate PCM like 24 bit 96 kHz FLAC files via MPC-HC 32-bit. While it is still working but sometime it's intermittently not working (no sound)... is there a way to play the unmolested PCM via WASAPI without using ReClock ??

QUOTE(paskal @ Oct 17 2010, 09:16 AM) As far as I know the main purpose of ReClock is to output the unmolested source video and audio out to the AVR without any modification of Windows Audio Management. It's main purpose is to sync the video sample rate as the original like e.g. 23.976, but seriously I have not really notice the difference with ReClock on and off on the video. But one of the feature that I like to use with ReClock is to output the high bitrate PCM audio like FLAC to the AVR directly untouchable via Windows low level component/driver called WASAPI, but after few days testing, sometimes it'll work and sometimes not. |

QUOTE(paskal @ Oct 17 2010, 11:03 PM) high bitrate PCM as in multichannel FLAC inside MKV wrapper. hard to find such video utilizing such arrangement. if 2 channel FLAC (audio) are concerned, you might wanna try something like foobar2000 with WASAPI plugin. Yeah foobar2000 works wonderfully on its own, is there a MCE plugin for it? |

Is there any lagging when play back High Bit Rate Full HD video with i3? like cpu utilisation max out... : Won't, everything works perfect. 2. Is there any problem so far with the picture quality, audio quality, and HD audio bitstream with i3 Integrated GPU? - No problem at all 3. Is it ALL Video can do DXVA on i3 IGP SMOOTHLY? - Never try So far, playing 1080p mkv file no issue at all. ..and it has resync problem too which I'm trying hard to solve it using ReClock now... QUOTE(cougar richard @ Nov 18 2010, 10:33 AM) is it noticeable for 24p playback jitter on most movie? i mean those available to dl one. Strange.. I'll only notice jittering on MPC-HC but not TMT 3, TMT3 is a lot smoother...so ATI 5000 series wont hv such a problem rite? i heard of sandy bridge is still having prob with 24p framerate. well, tat is rumour... Added on November 18, 2010, 10:37 am tat is why i am asking all sifus here. if the i3's IGP can handle HD audio and HD video using DXVA properly, then i dont need to buy another GPU already. so i can save money, save electricity, and also less heat dissippation... |
