Planning to do a HTPC for my new place.

Any recommendation on the specification?

Using LED TV 46". Not too sure to get it with 3D.

Budget? And the casing you prefer?

how much would you usually spend on a family HTPC?

RM1 to RM1.5K maybe? If also want gaming, then need to pump more.

For those that are not aware, currently there is a very popular and low cost HTPC/media player using Raspberry Pi (RM111.00) + RaspBMC (XBMC) with HDMI output to the tv..

If got budget, try ATS rack @ Amcorp mall?
http://hifi-unlimited.blogspot.com/2010/04...p-ats-rack.html
They manufacture themselves, so can ask for custom made also.
