First installed the Official wan..tried copying East Asian Language Pack into it..couldnt work! Missing a file...then wipe & reinstalled Leaked Version! Its been 20hours since flashing .545..battery looks promising, but gotta tried a full drain battery then recharge to test how long it'll last me...Imma extremely heavy user! Previous OS lasted me 24hours max due to heavy usage.
But this .545 feels really snappy compare to .423 & .442 (Crap) Added on March 20, 2010, 11:55 amAnyone using .545? Any feedbacks... This post has been edited by domokun: Mar 20 2010, 11:55 AM |

ok i think i get what u're saying liao
eg: Software For BlackBerry® Bold 9700 smartphone BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.994 (Multilanguage) Package Version: 5.0.0.994 Consisting of: * Applications: 5.0.0.586 * Software Platform: 5.1.0.146 * File name: 9700M_PBr5.0.0_rel994_PL5.1.0.146_A5.0.0.586_COSMO TE.exe * File size: 131.94MB i think i'm referring to the package version while u're referring to the applications sorry for the confusion so how is the above os??? any major issues/bugs??? the one i have preinstalled is .442 which is giving me some battery drain issues now at first everything worked well and i was able to get 2 full days of surfing and stuff with 3g all the time but now the battery drain is REALLY fast and the battery is at 60% now after i have fully charged it at 8pm last night.... >.<" |

Try this instead..the latest, but its a Leaked Version
5.0.0.593 .586 has got bad reviews...also when you wanna upgrade your OS, google for BBSAK (Blackberry Swiss Army Knife)..use this to upload your OS, everything will be restored the your current configurations, apps, themes & etc. p/s: Btw, I am super heavy user..max I could churned out is 1.5 days! With more then 100mails per day, bbm, googling, msn, calls & etc. This post has been edited by domokun: Apr 10 2010, 10:57 AM |

QUOTE(sordanny @ Apr 10 2010, 11:33 AM) bro what's your personal reviews on .593??? .442 sux, .593 feels much snappier, browsing seems much better, faster rebooting time, media seems to be faster..battery life seems better but its very subjective..try doin proper closing of apps + use EDGE at all time (2G only) it helps alot, no point using 3G when u do not need them unless ur downloading "mb" files, backlight brigthness set to min,..o well u can always give the .593 a shot, if ya dun like just downgrade. If ur using BBSAK..do uninstall the current OS before flashing new version OS.is it much more better than .442 if battery life is compared in particular i don't send out too many emails perhaps around 20-30 per day only but i do use viigo and fb app but not so frequent previously the drain is not so bad and i can always manage 2 full days but nowadays it's starting to be like 1.25-1.5 days >.<" or is it something wrong with expired trial?? QUOTE(sordanny @ Apr 12 2010, 03:56 PM) ok thanks bro Dude, trust me...everyone uses BBSAK, its the best with hassle-free + its got much faster process time comparing to BDM. Ive done it many times on 2 of my BB device. It wont screw up your phone. No worries. As long as your upgrading from OS 5 to OS 5, its ok..if your on OS 4 to OS 5, u gotta wipe your device clean before uploading OS 5. U can review from Crackberry.com or Blackberry OS.com, majority of them uses BBSAK. Just my 2 cents.yes i do have facebook, MSN, Viigo, apps world etc installed but i don't mind going through the initial setup to get some feel of the new OS and also scared lar using BBSAK if something is restored wrong even more problem ler... |
