i just found out this phone info from my fren too, i plan to purchase desire once it official release. Now i can wait more longer hehe hope this 1 will launch in Malaysia

Even if you get it outright, it wont work in Malaysia cause its CDMA

There wont be GSM version for Incredible .. because Desire is the GSM version of Incredible , just camera megapixel difference . Do you think HTC will launch Incredible GSM version purposely ?? while it is 96% like Desire ? Nexus one = Desire = Incredible (GSM) ???! Desire and Nexus one already very much alike , HTC wont release the Incredible GSM edi ... nope ~ now most of the lastest phone specification are better in CDMA version , Malaysia GSM users , bear with it ~.~

Pricing is currently set at $199 with a 2 year contract, or $529 for an outright purchase.

hmm..i think is because htc desire not available for US but available at other countries...but they have htc incredible as htc desire

It's normal. They practicing contract phones, something we did back in the 90's. They made this to differentiate their phones from other carriers. They've got 3 different version of Hero's over there...Sprint Hero, Droid Eris etc.

I heard they bringing HTC Desire into US too...
Lucky Americans, now they have so many HTC great phones!

The Incredible is using the touchscreen that supports more than 3fingers? That and the camera is the only improvement from the Desire.

Of course, being CDMA, no use really. Even if they announce a GSM version, by that time I'll probably take the Desire instead. Cannot tahan edy...

Why do they need the desire when there's N1 which is similiarly speced?

damn...why it's CDMA version, i'm in US now, only can watch, can touch but can't buy...hate it

thats quite different case too..
N1 is google phone which is the 1st phone to get update from google directly
but n1 is without htc sense,not available for some country(dun include import), only t-mobile carrier have it for now,etc
htc desire is like available globally for example australia,etc...
and it is the phone for users who prefer htc sense + n1 spec

Be careful taobao website, most of them are scams!

Not to mention that the Incredible is a CDMA phone, which means you can't use it to make phone calls in Malaysia.
