The architechture. Take a look at the diagrams included on their homepage.

P45 (FSB):
http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/chip...45-overview.htm

P55 (DMI):
http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/chip...55-overview.htm

X58 (QPI):
http://www.intel.com/Products/Desktop/Chip...58-overview.htm

One byte is equivalent to 8 bits. I think there are some typo errors for X58 DDR3 diagram. Should be big B(byte) instead of small b(bit).

thanks. i read tis before. I wanna know QPI is better than DMI? or vice versa and why.

Added on March 11, 2010, 7:10 pmi know hardware combination is different

i.e P55 don need ich10

from wat i search, CPU i5i7(1156) is using DMI while i7(1366) is using QPI.

If i5(1156) DMI speed is similar to i7(1366) QPI, is there any different?

that means i5 750(1156) and i7 920(1366) are same in "speed" if the value ram and single card is used for both setup ?

what kind of "speed" do u mean??

simulation in specific. Process a bunch of data to get the result. Nothing to do with graphic or 3d. Thanks
