I m totally new for here, I plan to buy a 30-40 inch FULL HDTV for my parents, so they basically will use it for ASTRO..
-rm2k to 3k -Brand: Any -Use = Purely for Astro
I check my astro decoder, there is only AV and S-video output.. Wonder how could it connect to HDTV? And hw much the price different for LCD vs LED HDTV?

Using normal with LCD should use S-Video, and the setting in Astro should use Wide screen.
I recommend u get the Toshiba Regza 32AV600E
for normal Astro, the bigger the screen, the worst its picture quality

First question you must ask yourself, are you going to upgrade to Astro HD and pay more every month?
Secondly,if yes then get a 42" FHD set as you can almost fully utilize Astro HD.If not, then forget about getting a 42 incher.Like what boy96 said, the smaller would be better as there would be less pixelation.32" will do fine
