just wanna find out .. i can use all these infos here for n97 mini right ? it's the same ?

I'm using a mac machine. there's no way that i can install garminxt into my n97 mini right ? i'll need a windows pc ? tks

can someone help me ? hehe... someone wit the latest garminxt + mfm maps..just upload the full folder. so i can transfer it to the memory card and isntall ... tks a lot. coz i'm a pure mac user. no alt windows in my machine.

Is the NOKIA MAPS as good as the garminxt ?

thanks bro for the garminxt.. but i'm still facing the issue of starting garmin first page then it'll exit .. i've tried master reset and even do the hard format and start from scratch. I've googled and found that a few other ppl on the n97/mini also facing this prob.. any comments ?

has that something to do with the s/w version ? wat's the latest ?

yes i copy the whole folder to the mass storage d:\garmin and run the .sis from within the folder. installed ok. however when loading garminxt.. it'll just load first page and jump back out.

thanks to all the sifus here .. managed to get it going with the proper sw.unl. need one more little help. to use the latest updated map fr MFM.. i just need to cut n paste the gmasupp into my garmin folder right ? can someone giv me that file (sorry i can't run the exe fr mfm due to using pure mac only . appreciate all the help fr u guys. this thread rocks..!!

meaningi just copy the one file gmapsupp.img into the garmin folder only right ?

haha.. the first attempt copying direct fr bro heng's folder failed. not sure why but kept on booting out from the garminxt. later our sifu provided me another folder from a fresh garmin folder and that worked. even reg my sw.unl .. so now it's ok .. just need to update the map then i'm set .. i guess i just copy fr the first folder the map file shud b ok..

the basemap GMAPBMAP we don't need to bother is it ? coz i saw fresh installation folder is dated 2008 and the one in bro heng's folder is dated 2010. ?

just now saw a fren's n97mini using an updated version of garminxt .. 5.00.6 ..
if i just copy his whole folder and replace with my own sw.unl .. it shud work in my n97 oso right ?

meaning i can just use my current sw.unl and just copy paste it right ?

the garmin on the n97mini seems to be much faster than on my previous 5800xm. so far never hang and can get lock via igps within like 2min.

anyone using the v6.00.10 garmin xt ? any significant diff ?

yah i'm using it for gps only and a backup phone (just in case my ip4 habis batt).
but so far using garminxt.. never hang and it's definitely much faster than my my 5800.

comparison on n97 and n97mini leh ? hehe...

but if u hav multiple phones . the n97 seems a bit too bulky lah .. ur pocket also kembung

yah me too ... gotta wear those cargo pants with multiple pockets... i got iphone4, bb 9700 and now this 97mini. iphone 4 for browsing internet, bb for push email and 97mini for garmint. but once iphone gets the garmin s/w.. i'll sell off this mini.
