imo.. crossfire mode is practically useless, waste of money, save that 1.3k and get yourself that SSD so u can start your pc in seconds..

so,two HD5770s IN CF that equals the HD5870 but costs RM300 cheaper is useless? So does a HD5850 CF setup that equals the HD5970 but costs RM300 is useless too?

Core i7 930 2.8Ghz RM 1000(C-Zone)
KINGSTON V SERIES SSD 128GB=rm1000
6GB Corsair Triple Channel Kit DDR3-1333 (6 x 2GB) = 459 (from Viewnet
PowerColor HD5870 1GB GDDR5 #1 = 1350 (from C-Zone)
PowerColor HD5870 1GB GDDR5 #2 = 1350 (from C-Zone)
1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3 HDD RM 260(C-Zone)
LiteON DVDRW RM 78(Cycom) -
Gigabyte Odin M 800W Rm499 (getting 800w maybe adding other thing later on)
ThermalRight Venemous X HSF RM 299(Cycom) -
Tuniq TX-3 Thermal Compound RM 29(Cycom) -
Cooler Master 690 Advanced Edition II (If it were available later go check)

how about this?
p/s 1st time building a cpu so don't realy know the hardware

The X25-M G2 is a better SSD as it is faster in random read and write.Or try getting the Vertex LE drives, those are among the best MLC SSD available.IINM it costs RM1000+

I gotta say though, two HD5870 to play at 1080p is too much, with current games being made for consoles too even a single HD5850 is enough, unless you're going with three 1080p monitors.

even with 4k,you'll get a great pc for gaming at 1080p.you don't need to spend all of your budget

it;s simple really, powercolor sells the cheapest HD5870 here in Malaysia, and it too comes with 2 years of warranty. One more thing, most HD5870 still use the reference design, except a select few like Sapphire Vaporx etc
