can i point the bt download location to external disk via usb instead of internal hardisk?

I wired the player to Unifi network, it is amazing to see so many channels available. After played for a while, the things i can notice are:

1) It is obvious that it is consider slow to see the online tv from china even via 5mb Unifi. The movie took minutes to load and sometimes lag. However contents from such as Youtube is quite fast.
2) Some of channels in the player are no longer available.

I am using latest firmware on hdprod+ and having following problems:

1) why the bt download is lost everytime the player restarted?
2) i have installed vsftp server & bt client from AppManager, but everytime the player restarted, the services will not running even i have turn on the "Start on system startup". The status is stopped and i cannot find anyway to start it. What i did is to reinstall both services in order to make them run again.

Can this player transcode the movie with dts sound into ac3? The reason is i have the headset which only support ac3 sound and i want it to be able to play 5.1 surround sound.
