Am I the only one suggesting LCD? I can't stand the glare of plasma. You either place it in an AV room or have your living room completely draped in dark curtain.

I myself am using samsung LCD tv and it worked well for all my media needs....ps3, astro, bluray, etc. In any case, either one you choose will always be worthy. I don't feel the disadvantage of LCD at all and perhaps plasma owner don't complete much about its lifespan.

Even still, I'd still recommend LCD tv, its way better than CRT or even HDTV.

Oh yes, since you mention Panasonic, I genuinely think that they make better plasma models than LCD.
