Yay!! today just bought light dash. a lightweight center chasis, large diameter narrow lightweight wheels & underside stabilizing head set everything is seems to be light but my car seems to be very very heavy. light dash and hyperdash i cannot see the speed difference...maybe my gear setting wrong? green and pink for speed track or blue and orange for technical track which one better? or is it my rubber wheels too heavy? if i change to sponge only will it be too bouncy for the landing?
Today alone playing...no one there..only chris and david. Everyone working and studying....sigh..anyone wants to play tomolo? probably morning till afternoon around 2 or 3?
sometimes i wonder why....if the car can pass the whole track the first time..if i run the sec or third time it should be passing all the courses with no problem...but still sometimes it can jump out the track. anyone can explain about this? Or sometimes do we need some element of luck to complete a certain race?

Added on April 5, 2010, 11:14 amHow heavy is your car? What if I put 6 mass damper 3 infront and 3 at the back? Is it confirm the car won't fly out the track? Anyway to make sure the car is lightest and still can avoid flying out from the track? any secret to this? without putting any rubber or plastic break.

I just tried one pair of rechargeable GP battery 1600mah 1.2v. It is faster than the normal energizer battery 1.5v. How come my hyperdash use alot of juice from the energizer battery? if i use rechargeable it goes faster. if normal battery like energizer the speed is slower..and after two or three laps it become slow is it because of my hyper dash motor like to drink more energy from energizer battery? Or maybe my hyperdash motor that i bought few weeks back maybe a little bit problem. does this problem applys to everyone? 1.2v how come can have more power than 1.5v? What 1600 mah for? the bigger the value the longer time it will last? any battery that has 2000 above? which rechargeable battery better? cause for what i think here...if everytime use energizer battery during practice sure waste lot of money buy energizer battery. so two battery power will be 3.0v for energizer and 2.4v for GP battery. but how come 3.0v cannot produce that kind of speed? or is it i dun have gold plated terminals that make my car cannot get the highest performance from the alkaline battery energizer? cause normally when we race it is going to be energizer only.

Thanks to all reply to my battery questions. I appreciate it. Today went to TU again to play. Manage to talk to few sifu there. Get some insight on what is going to be change. wanted to buy some extra medium wheels but no stock. The track is easy but very tricky. Most of the time I feel the car unstable during small curvy corner then the hump section. but the battery energizer that i am using is not new enough to test power.

Can i use UHU gam to stick the sponge at the FRP bumper? is it illegal? or i need to use rubber brake? currently my setup using two plastic brake in front and two at the back. and do u guys know any secret to make my wheel rubber shinning. It collect dust after a lap or two.if can i want it to be shinning and dun collect dust plus lots of grip to the track. if i use the dish cleaner solution will the rubber be more grippy? any method to make the rubber less bouncy? can i just place it under the scorching sun so that it will harden the rubber? but if too dry the rubber will crack or not? not too sure... i dun dare to try it...is just an idea popping up "what if"..i wonder if anyone try this before can share this information together..

So the winner is bobby? Congrats! yesterday a bit tired but fun. try all ways to slow down car but still jump out of track. what kind of setup for the track yesterday? 4 mass dampers heavy or 6 mass dampers? any rubber brake? front only or back only. Can bobby share your car setup? I notice the track yesterday can go very fast. but i try to slow it down using old battery still cannot make it stay on track. after the jump and then corner i am unable to make it all the time. i already put four rollers in front but still cannot get a proper grip on track. How u guys modify your car? Just a glance on what is the track setup will have a good setup? or usually try an error until the car get the fastest timing and still stays on the track? More uphill need brake in-front or more downhill need brake at the back?

There is angle..the normal one should be 3 degree down thrust. I think i will buy one extra part that can add additional 1 degree or 2 for down thrust.

QUOTE(choycp @ Apr 18 2010, 11:25 PM) [attachmentid=1535209] FRP brake is two pieces of FRP glued together. in the picture the screwhead is embedded in the frp (the one circled red), so it does not contact with the ground. to make this, one of the frp has to be modified by making the holes bigger so that the screw head can go through. u can do this with 4mm drill bit or tamiya round file. u can also make extra mounting points for screws like i made in the picture (circled in green) which can be used to mount dampers for instance. Oh thanks for the tutorial. What is tamiya round file?
