Erm, well, 1600, 2000 or whatever, it comes with the unit "mAh". That means, the higher the figure, the longer it can last.
Well, I think Sanyo Eneloop is quite good, energizer rechargeable batteries are quite pricey, at least RM 130 above.
If you want to go for a more economy choice, I think GP batteries will do.

Gold plated is for better electricity conduction, it does not affect the difference in your performance if you are comparing different batteries.
For racing or practice, I suggest you to use rechargeable but I have seen people using alkaline batteries. Besides that, I have heard of rumours stating that rechargeable batteries have higher output which damages motor...but I'm not sure whether it is true or not.

wow guys...its been awhile to see tamiya cars around.. what impress me most, it seems it changed alot.. with the motor in the middle.. haha when all this happened? What i do remember in my Tamiya time is, Horizon is so far d coolest carr for me! Emperor is not bad either.. Sigh long long time ago =)
