Wa... maybe you can email tamiya and ask them better.... like you ask kitchen how you cook ... will them tell you the recipes?

but assure the frp old time and new frp will be different, old time frp is softer and new 1 have reinforced, this has been stated in the year book of the tamiya.

hg carbon only content of 25% carbon on the top and bottom... the surface may crack when hit the solid wall.... well can fix it with ac glue ... it's still 75% frp....

2 pcs frp for sure not as strong as HG but it lighter... but 1 thing is the glue you choose to stick the frp is much more important...hehehe...

the glue is not just "stick"... but effect of reinforce and protect the frp...the proper step to use a frp is:

1. new from packing
2. glue the frp surface which explore(non laminated area) to the air.
3.ready to use...

but normally i am lazy to do that...hahaha...
