QUOTE(szngszng @ Apr 22 2010, 09:45 PM) my understanding of gear is: -cannot be too loose, too tight, at least some free play is needed for smoothness however minimize external friction. since junichi voice out, i would like to share some of my view on the gear above (ms pro gear). - compare normal counter gear, ms pro counter gear included 2 type of gears in 1: crown type for input, spur type for output. - to improve the smoothness for both type of gear, we know bearing is one of the best way, however, the green gear need diff type of bearing. - for crown, since it's high axial force, it need thrust bearing - for spur, since it's linear movement of force, it need normal ball bearing. in this case, you can realize that ms pro gear actually is very difficult to mod, not on the technical way but the nature. it's limited by the crown gear since mini 4wd part did't have any trust bearing product. so you have to looking for any ball bearing that suitable to work as trust bearing. bearing we need to replace trust bearing should have several elements: -bearing without ball cage, -bigger size since less arm force. this is my research on ms pro gear. thanks |

well regarding rules its very subjective matter
there is no guideline from japan saying we must follow their rules so each agent are free to set any rules for their races they see fit to their requirements as in singapore case its been from long long time ago the rules of the game is that way no rules on setting unlimited parts well its same here in malaysia when i started this hobby many years ago so all racers are used to it charges for per try is also used in sg and in mal races but there are still a lot of racers as for money making part it will sure be on parts and on race alone i have been spending a lot of money in this hobby and it been a big burden for me to sustain it and really enjoy it like ng say money is king no money no win race so i feel there is a need for change in our own system to make it more sustainable and more improvement if i were to keep to old ways i am sure you guys can never enjoy and just give up for example rm3 per try will sure kill the racers how many rm3 u have to race every month joshua had been through all this and he know what i spend to win a race and gets snake and ladders for winning hahahahah its it worth it sure you guys will say i am stupid so please help take care the free track in tamiya underground and help others who really want to learn about mini4wd racing to improve on our malaysian racers standards |
