i'm using corel painter 11 in windows 7 home premium 64 bit, when i 1st install it there isn't any problem at all but recently it just pop out the message "not enough memory to complete operation". sometimes the message would appear once i open corel painter, sometimes it would only appear after i open some tools.

my laptop has 4GB of RAM in it, 500GB HDD, ATI mobile radeon 4650, core 2 duo P8700.

recommend by friend to reinstall corel painter 11 but i would not like to do that because i lost the installation files.

solution tried:-

1) open msconfig and limit startup program ---> not working
2) checked windows updates, everything has been updated except malicious software removal
3) reinstall --> not working
4) remove manually including manually remove registry --> can't reinstall anymore, error 1402 sad.gif
5) unlock administrator account to install in admin account --> error 1402 still pop up
6) create new admin account and install in it --> error 1402 pop up

hope any1 who know about this problem could give some recommendations. Thank You so much

found solution: used restore point to restore back to before i did any of the uninstall process, this time uninstall with remove user workspace (before this i did not tick it), reinstall and everything is back to normal.

Delete the Registry entry , and re-install..probably that would help you to determine whether installation problem, or other issue..

True, by deleting the key , and re-installing , might help. Or you can use the "Run as Adminstrator" to install if you're on WinXp above..

ok bad news, i follow the instructions from:-
http://corel.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/corel.cf...?p_faqid=764153

it involve with using clean up utility and remove registry keys, now i can't reinstall core painter, it keep popping out "error 1402: could not open key....."

before delete the registry keys i did back it up and restore and still the problem is there. i tried using ccleaner and registry repair 2.0 and it still won't work.
