hmm...wanna ask..why issit that for DFI Lanparty UT nf3 250Gb, 1 ram stick performs much better than having 2 ram sticks?

i use this mobo and imo it's bcoz can only support single channel. so having 2 sticks nowadays are for acheiving dual-channel, so having single stick is enough already smile.gif

it could also be caused by incompatibility between the rams.... not the same timings, batch or etc sweat.gif
*
so you're now running with 1 stick or 2 stick?

got 1 problem else...

the fan speed... although i tune it to the max but it still running wih min speed or sometime even the fan stop  blink.gif  if i connect to mobo. but if i use molex, the problem disappear.

abt the stepping, tell u later  tongue.gif
*
hmm..i think you set the auto power shut down thingy...when temps go above a certain limit...mine also like that..cause when the processor heats up a lil, the fan will only start spinning...somehting like those stock AMD coolers...

QUOTE(gsan @ Dec 25 2005, 04:10 PM)
92mm fan from Allngap... any idea to solve my problem?  cry.gif
hehe... still playing with it...  smile.gif
*
hmm...how much is the amp? if more than 0.4A better use molex..cause mobo cant take that high amp...

QUOTE(xtorm @ Dec 27 2005, 04:19 PM)
hmm im using dfi nf3 ut 250gb with amd64 athlon 2800+, multi seems to b lock.

i canot get pass 240 even i set the rams at default 333!! wats the deal man! izit bcos of the proc? i raise the voltage ofcos.....

wat can i do?

P.S......problem solve! the stupid nf3 250gb chip canot boot at 240! now i change to sata 3 n its booting up at 255........priming now smile.gif too bad multi lock, doing 2295 with 1.65v now, abit high tho the voltage
*
hmm...that is pretty high the Vcore you using...last time my Athlon 64 2800+ manage to clock 2.5Ghz @1.65v hehe...try lowering down your Vcore and see if it is stable cause 1.65v for 2.3Ghz is just a wee bit too high...haha...why dun you just get sempron? since the new semprons can smoke Athlon 64 flat! haha...look at me...got converted... tongue.gif

let take this example(my rig).. athlon64 s939 3200+ winchester
the default was 1.45vcore & i able to trigger 2.5Ghz(250HTT x10) at 1.65v stable for 24/7 useage. some ppl might say the vcore is too extreem for athlon64 proc. it depend on wat u feels, but for me, increasing until 1.7v is worthless since it might burn the proc itself. i think increasing about 0.2v from original spec is ok but dont exeed  biggrin.gif
*
hmm...if so, it looks ok to me...cause mine running at 1.589v for 24/7 usage...smile.gif some people said its due to the capacitors...they told me to discharge it and it'll be alright...is that true?

hmm...for my DFI mobo, issit advisable to get 2 sticks of rams if i wanna OC it?? cause mine is only single channel...and 1Gb is seriously making me a lil annoyed...if i were to go to 2gb, i'd need 2x1gb sticks...wonder if it will clock as well as i use my current 1x1gb kit...

Yup, 2x1GB will never be as clockable as 1x1GB. But when it comes to gaming 2GB performs much better compared to 1GB.
*
hmm...so overall, issit advisable to go for the 2x1gb pack?? or should i save it and go for DDR-2 instead.... unsure.gif

QUOTE(joylay83 @ Mar 11 2006, 08:11 PM)
not necessary arr... i got 276Mhz for 2x1gb. but my bandwidth is rather low.. bout 7000 mb/s oni... dunno y (using pc4000 though..)
*
hmm...yours is socket 939, dual channel...i only using single channel ler... cry.gif

QUOTE(winc87 @ Mar 11 2006, 08:22 PM)
They are talking about Single Channel. However, overclocking a single module is a lot easier than two modules. smile.gif

is there any major difference between overclocking 1 gig sticks and 512mb sticks ?
*
hmm....both sticks haf the same overclocking potential...you're on single 1gb stick right?
