QUOTE(De_Cruelz @ May 15 2005, 05:03 PM) Evo, what exactly did you do to revive your TMSP? I tried mine again once and managed to boot in with just the problematic stick. After that it wouldn't boot already and I got lazy so decided to put it back in the cover. Hopefully I can make the RAM work again. I'm already short of so much money and a dead stick now is gonna set me back more De_Cruelz ... i read over XS and find there are many others having same problem as yours but most of them using winbond UTT (VX/TMSP/Mushkin blue...etc).... read it here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=62804Hope DFI take note of this problem...

Winbond requires high voltage to operate high fsb @ tight timing, i bet that ram need to RMA a few times in a year if run 24x7.

I also don't like the idea of supplying a lot of voltage to memory, make the mobo and ram running very hot . I prefer TCCD instead.

tictac, thanks for posting! Some very valuable feedback there. I'll try my TMSP again later and see what happens. I think it should be working just fine except for the 'bug'.

Hope to see the results from you. Btw, just to share with you guys. B4 i applied AS3 on the chipset , the temp is so high at 56C. After i applied AS3 onto it, the chipset temp dropped to 46C only. Big drop huh ?

Mine reported 40 degrees idle and guess what, the thermostat reported 51.

QUOTE(Show-Time @ May 19 2005, 08:09 PM) the first thing i have to do is clean the chipset fan and apply AS5? Remove that yellow thermal thing and apply AS5. You might want to retain the square sponge, it's up to you.

But you must be patient enough for not destroying the square sponge.
