 media player, please help

hi all, i planning to buy Acer AspireRevo 3610 to be my media player. any advice on this small pc? can it play .mkv file without any problem? izzit hdmi output carry audio n video or video only?

its a HTPC and its playable on all formats you throw in
yes it does carry audio on HDMI, but beware and check 1st

i'm still having a MSI HTPC, but output no sound when connected to my AVR, when press the HDaudio (icon) the HDMI audio indicator doesnt come out, BUT when unplug the HDMI cable to AVR.... the only the HDMI audio enabled rclxub.gif

so ......

I think maybe something wrong with your media player setting

its the compatability with the AVR....

without the HDMI plug in to the AVR,
the HDMI audio icon on the HD Audio is highlighted once plug in its disabled...

think the HTPC MSI Bios something wrong...
