call me whiner or whatnot, chips runnin on propus die aint really a clocker bro. u gonna need lotsa juice for a 3.6GHz for average chips.

diff in pwm phase + hw switch to unlock... abit too much to me... we need to see how voltage hunger d thuban are especially when they're mid~heavily oc'ed. if 4+1 pwm can handle w/o sweat well this board can be a killer board.

msi looks yummy w/ 8+2pwm, not gonna be wallet friendly, biopening 870 lack of 8 pins +12 eps, so 890fxe is d only way to go... but wait.... definitely not for me...

yup bro, that's lucid hydra. d main purpose of havin it on 870 based board is to have 2 * 16x pci-e lane when cross fire iirc. 890fx dun need that as it's already capable of doin cf @ 16x.

d msi wont come cheap coz dr mos... afaik, dr mos only used on mid~high end boards of msi...

yup, 1090t does come w/ unlocked multi. even locked chip like 1055t does come w/ partly unlocked multi (in turbo mode).

after checkin 790fxta doin so well (in xs), i have a 2nd thought on gettin 8xx series... i'm dyin to see how well 790fxb m2rs-h will scale w/ thuban installed.

it works even on 7xx series board, so ppl shouldn't worry too much on needin to spend big $$$ for thuban. as long as manufacturers update newer version of agesa in bios, 7xx will have no problem runnin x6, ofcoz provided d pwm can tahan which i'm confident decent boards (at least w/ 4+1 pwm) like 790fxb or 790gxE 128m will do just fine.

previously acc done via hw (sb710/750) support + inclusion of older microcode in bios. newer core unlockin done either via hw switch or bios. imo newer method save u some headaches coz u dun need to deal w/ acc (for diff cores). from d results, i can say d newer way give slightly better mileage.

i wont deny that ahsos have put in lotsa efforts in software parts if compared to other manufacturers (especially in amd, some are just plain lazy/ignorant)... a welcome feature but hopefully it wont stir up d price which already make me

it's like a phenom msr tweaker w/ eye candy + more tweak abilities. nonetheless, credits to ahsos...

bro, it's not that AMD is sellin zosma @ thuban price, what's there to be frustrated of? even they'll be priced near to current deneb price i'd say it's a gud buy coz d mileage is definitely better. AMD @ 4.0GHz (X4) for 24/7 is not a dream nemore...

well, i'm pretty sure AMD will price their chips aggressively to fight w/ intel's i-platform. we just need to cross our fingers...

as for failure to unlock, isn't it d same w/ x2 550/555be? these models are not cheap considerin they're just dual core originally. it's all down to luck & how desperate one is.

that board is never meant for high clock + prime test... u mite risk killin d board by doing that. trust me, i've tried 1.6xv @ 3.9GHz on b55 usin g45 which is similar to c45, no matter how d chip just can't stay stable.

latest chipset + ROG series > confirm more than RM1k, i bet my balls on that. not for casual clocker, it's meant for hardcore w/ lotsa ca$$$$hhhhh....

exaggerated nb + sb cooler, nice touch w/ black + red color theme thou...

friend, 19*200 = 3.8GHz, not an easy target for x3 720 @ tri, let alone quad. try 1.4~1.5v then ur good to go.

aod = quickie, gud for explorin mileage on d go, but it doesn't work perfectly on all board. d one near to perfect was dfi 790fxb, d rest (of all that i've tried) have hiccups here & there.

omg... that's cheeeaaapppp... but only for rich ppl... i'd rather have biostar 890fxe + a pair of mid range ddr3 4gb...

no doubt d board is nice, d softwares bundled are awesome to some extent, but to splash nearly 1k just for a board is not practical on amd platform...

any ROG board is outta my league, but u'll always get what u paid for... & d braggin right...

diff mobo diff value, best if u compare it w/ gigabte easytune... i'm kinda like that software actually...

i always refer to cpu temp in tmpinX, temp for each core is always lower (from what i encountered), i'd rather take d higher temp, just bein cautious...

asus matx 785 evo did pretty impressive, but i'll take dfi anytime...

best if can get those w/ 8 pins 12 eps (like gaygay & dfi) bro, those w/ 4 pins most likely will suffer from voltage fluctuation...
