actually if we look here n there.. it's quite the same if manage to let go all and get the new one..

i would consider X6 coz got new tech, new features from mobo with a bit faster peripherals.. the chance of upgrading also is more..

with that q9550 the most only QX line up..

with X6 ofcourse we got extra cores..
extra cores mean alot even though the benchmark showing it on par @ intel's quaddy..

same goes when we moving from dual core to quaddy.. but now i can feel the waiting time between the two.. more cores indeed smoother on heavy/alot of apps load up.. it's my trend now.. so it's a must..

u can try looking on minimum fps while gaming.. X6 actually give better result.. though most of reviewers not reveal them...

who knows after sometimes got the 95W ver..

lol if everybody option 1 option 2.. became useless without any points..

maybe u need to reduce the voltage..

better cooler can reduce temp, some can push even further..
most important it's stable..

vdrop/vdroop is normal.. no mobo is perfect..

8 series la ofcourse.. coz most got usb3 sata3 ddr3.. price also not much diff

870a is nice.. i think all also same only layout diff.. just take which ever have extra features..

asus.. for average i always afraid of their bios...

plenty of option yes.. but useless another thing to consider..

if like this better get X6 first..

first for all is about ur budget..
so to sacrifice performance loss abit not a major issue..

i would think that recent amd proc will optimize on 1333mhz ram..
if ur ram able to push to >1000mhz with good timing then should be ok..

if u switch the board and ddr3 with current proc.. i think no much different..
just can play with oc and maybe reduce the voltage depends on ur skills..

try searching in GS then..
