Just check ur cpu physically, see if theres any burn marks or something, if u tried on a new mobo and it won't boot up just send the cpu for RMA also..
Last time my cpu was ok even after the lightning short my mobo, hopefully urs would be ok too..

Ya lor, bcoz of some gum residue on the pwm's they rejected it.. Distri are like that, they take every chance they got to reject ur RMA's
Luckily on the 2nd RMA process our bro 8tvt help me clean the gum residue and the RMA process gone thru without a hitch..

update: no burn marks on the back of the mobo(cou area) and also no burn mark at the pin of the proc, any idea( jgn cakap dlm chip proc ak rosak)?

btw info, the last tyme i was in bios, i set the CPU-NB volt to 1.4v.
and also 1st tyme wif all my current setup(after the incident),if leave for a while try to on back the fans tat r connected to my mobo(blue LED) will run for 1 sec thn gone off, n duh xleh on the pc lngsng, juz extra info..
