the only rule would be:
The HT Link has to be equal or lower than the NB frequency at all times due to the design.

and plus.. higher bandwidth is not always faster.. it's all depends on what application that ur running..

for instance why the HT Link should stay 2000mhz is becoz.. sometimes 2400mhz performing worst..
maybe
1-not stable
2-the application not benefit much
3-the hardware combination is not making any sense
4-high temp
5-voltage throttling etc..

nb sure its mobo!

u are so wrong!

most of the times it refers to CPU-NB which is IMC in CPU.. (it's not like old day ha)
but some got isolated voltage that refer to the mobo chip itself...
must look carefully where the menu came from..

yup it's refer to memory controller, htt controller and L3 cache voltage inside the cpu..

last time memory controller @ mobo..

it's depends on mobo component to regulate the voltage..
so expensive board has less vdroop/vdrop problem.. depend on how they design though..

ofcourse cheap board using cheap material.. and the performance is so-so..

actually they also not bad.. just for user preference..
just that with 870A normally have 8+1/8+2 pwm which good on oc..
so in this case cheap mobo wins..

i tot the 8+1/8+2 pwm is for power saver? waht its relation with oc bro?
it's regulate the voltage better..
stable voltage helps in oc..

some got their own technique of switching.. if more pwm.. they will share the burden..
or maybe 4 working and 4 is off.. in one period.. so it less to strain them.. and prolong their lifespan..

the most major issue is the heat.. though some reaching 70c in normal condition but actually max 120c like that..
if they use the 4 off 4 on technique, it might generate less heat..
because they got time to rest.. thus more pwm helps on oc..
