Hello all overclocker,

im abit noob here and need some advise. i just build new machine. a core i5 machine.
the problem is the ram i bought is ddr3 1600mhz but now its running at 1333mhz.
im not planning to overclock i just wanted the memory to run at 1600mhz as it suppose to
by the way, i notice there is bios update for memory enhancement on gigabyte site.
Should i upgrade bios as its at F3 now. latest bios is F7.

my build:
Intel Core i5 750
Gigabyte GA-P55-UD6
2x2GB Team Xtreem DDR3 1600mhz (low voltage)
Vantec ION2+ 700watt
Sapphire HD5770 Vapor-X
1TB Samsung

i dont think u have to oc the cpu.

it depends on the memory divider.

There is no problem as I can see it... as everything is running currently in spec...

If you aren't planning to overclock, you should know right that the processor only runs at 1333mhz by default...if you were to up the ram speed, then it would already mean that you are overclocking...

You overclock = run off speed
No overclock = run stock wink.gif

As I mentioned earlier, check on your memory divider.
There is no need for u to touch on CPU clock speed or GPU.

try look at your memory frequency setting on BIOS setup..

there you'll can change memory frequency from 1333 to 1600..

i don't know about your motherboard.. but in my BIOS setup.. its going like this..

Max memory divider for i5 750 is 2:10.
You need to overclock your processor to get full speed of your ram.

If you wan to overclock your processor, you can consider to make the ram timing tight. smile.gif

Hello All,

Tried change around the memory setting, managed to get it to run at 1600mhz, but its not stable
My Win7 crashed (blue screen) i tried change to 1333mhz but still crashed.
So i go around by manual box from motherboard manufacturer and installed Dynamic Energy Saver 2
By installing this software i can enable the LED feature built on this motherboard.
So i can see the memory and cpu voltage load.
its show my CPU vtt overload as per documented on motherboard manual
maybe i need to set my cpu vtt voltage manually rather than using auto

Please help me with this pls icon_question.gif

i got heard some motherboard, if you set it at auto, it will auto adjust the vcore according to the core speed..

means if you overclock your cpu, the motherboard will also increase the vcore.. hmm.gif
